VS Talk: Redundantly Debunking Multiverse+ Alien X

Original Release Date: November 21st, 2019

I don’t think Alien X is Multiverse+ Level.

I know this is probably going to be an incredibly redundant analysis (trust me, I don’t blame you if you think it is), but since this has been an on and off thought for me for a while now, I’d figure I could share it. If you’re wondering where the idea of Multiverse+ Alien X came from, the rating came from this particular video:

Yeah, I know, it’s from Kuro the Artist, the guy that argued Ben could beat Hal Jordan without Alien X (which I strongly disagree with and think that Ben would still lose with Alien X anyways). But I’m not here to talk about that. I’m instead here to talk about the feat he and Skye used as the number one entry and how they ranked the feat as Multiverse+ Level. For those that want a quick rundown on how they got to that conclusion in text-format, here’s the bullet point version:

  • The Contemelia are fifth-dimensional beings whose physical forms cannot be perceived by three-dimensional eyes, and Kuro and Skye labeled them as Multiversal beings.
  • There is a force field surrounding the Anihilaarg that the Contemelia said cannot be breached, and said force field was also labeled as 5D.
  • Skurd created a Celestialsapien sword using Ben’s Omnitrix while he was Chromastone, and was able to cut through the barrier.
  • The Contemelia were surprised by Ben being able to cut through the barrier with the sword.
  • Supporting evidence used was that Celestialsapiens are born in the Forge of Creation, which exists outside the Universe.

There are honestly several problems that I have with how they got to this conclusion (nevermind how they even got Complex Multiverse Alien X), but before I go into that part I’ll assume that the feat Kuro and Skye ranked is indeed Multiverse+. To get a bit of a better idea of how we can perceive this feat, let’s first write this as an equation.

Let’s start by writing Alien X as a variable known as AX. Since the feat under this context is assumed to be Multiverse+, which by definition is a rating where the person can destroy an infinite amount of universes, we can write that as M. Finally, since the feat was performed with a fraction of Alien X’s power, we can write the fraction as Y. Y can be any percentage AS LONG as it is less than or equal to 50% (Mark that one down as we’ll get to it later). Add them all together and you’d get an equation that looks like this:

Y * AX = M, or AX = M/Y

This would be one of the ways that you can analyze this feat from a purely mathematical perspective, where Alien X’s power on a multiversal scale directly correlates to the fraction of Celestialsapien DNA needed to perform this feat. And if we follow the “less than or equal to 50%” rule that I listed, then Alien X should mathematically have double the power needed to destroy the multiverse. By itself, this feat could be considered a reasonable feat for Ben.

When compared to other, previous events, however, it starts to show the problems. Case in point, THIS scene:

For context, Vilgax activated a Chronosapien Time Bomb, which is designed to wipe out entire universes and timelines throughout the multiverse. Vilgax set it up so that it would wipe out all but one timeline, the No Watch Timeline, which is the only timeline in Ben 10 where the timeline’s version of Ben didn’t have an Omnitrix. So in this context, the Chronosapien Time Bomb would have a power equivalent of M – 1, where it can destroy nearly the entirety of the multiverse except for one single universe. Kuro and Skye labeled this event as Multiverse Level in their video, but I’d argue that this would be more akin to a Multiverse+ feat since infinity minus 1 would still technically be infinity, just to a slightly lower extent.

Now here comes the second part of this scene, Atomic-X. Atomic-X is the fusion of Ben 10,000’s two most powerful aliens, Alien X and Atomix. I’ve heard some divisive opinions on how powerful Atomic-X, whether he’s only half as powerful as Alien X or is stronger than Alien X. I’m personally in the latter camp for Atomic-X’s power, but for this analysis, I’ll assume that Atomic-X is only half as powerful as Alien X. (Editor’s Note: Sometime after the original date this blog was written, Word of God from around the Ben 10 Reboot era has confirmed that fusions of Celestialsapiens are weaker than pure Celestialsapiens due to the DNA being diluted. This doesn’t really change much of my arguments in the context of how I originally framed my case, but I did want to make it clear that I am aware of that WOG statement.)

When Atomic-X tried to stop the Chronosapien Time Bomb, he ended up dying from the bomb’s explosion, which would mean that Atomic-X’s power is less than that of the Chronosapien Time Bomb. If we were to write this as a formula, where Atomic-X is represented as the variable ATX, we would get this equation:

 ATX < M – 1

And since Atomic-X in this scenario is only half as strong as Alien X, ATX would equal 0.5 * AX:

 0.5 * AX < M – 1, or AX < 2M – 2

So based on this formula, Alien X’s power will always be less than double the power needed to destroy the multiverse minus the energy needed to destroy two universes. Now that we have part of the equation done, let’s go back to our first equation AX = M/Y. In that previous equation, we set a rule that Y cannot be greater than 0.5 under any circumstance, which would mean that in the worst-case Alien X’s power would be M/0.5 or 2M. Let’s plug that in to see what we would get.

    2M < 2M – 2

And here you can start to see the problem saying that a fraction of Alien X’s power is Multiverse+. By saying that the force field feat is Multiverse+, you are implying that Alien X’s power from 50% onwards is capable of destroying a Multiverse of infinite universes. However, this directly clashes with the fact that Atomic-X got one-shot by a power output capable of destroying all but one universe in a Multiverse of infinite universes, which is LESS than the Multiverse+ feat. And really, there’s nothing that you can really do to make this mathematically correct.

  • Increasing the value of Y to above 50% would contradict the force field feat since it’s explicit that the feat was performed with a fraction (i.e. less than half) of Alien X’s DNA/power.
  • Decreasing the value of Y to below 50% would contradict the time bomb death more since it would imply that Alien X’s power at a lower fraction would always be greater than it’s power at 50%, which makes no sense logically nor mathematically.

This alone should be enough of an indication as to why the force field feat can’t be Multiverse+. It doesn’t allow it to be possible mathematically speaking. Granted, this is mainly talking about half of Alien X’s power and below, but there are also some other issues with arguing that the force field feat is a legitimate Multiverse+ feat for Alien X entirely:

  • Being a higher dimensional being doesn’t automatically them infinitely above a lower dimension unless it is treated as such in-canon. The Contemelia, while they are fifth-dimensional beings and very intelligent and advanced, aren’t explicitly described as being infinitely above characters such as Ben, Rook, or Maltruant.
    • Not being able to see the Contemelia’s true forms as a third-dimensional being is because it would be impossible to visually comprehend what any higher-dimensional object would look like in a third-dimensional space. Ben, Rook, and Maltruant are third-dimensional beings spacially, thus they are not able to comprehend what a Contemelia’s fifth-dimensional form would look like.
    • Another issue raised with the Contemelia being Multiverse+ is the question of why they would need to build a ship/force field to protect themselves from the Anihilaarg, a device that, in theory, shouldn’t be able to harm the Contemelia if they were actually Multiverse+. The fact that they have to make such vehicles and devices for use of safely observing the creation of universes heavily suggests that the Contemelia are only fifth-dimensional in the spacial sense and not infinitely above third-dimensional beings.
    • One could argue that the Naljians being 26th-Dimensional could apply to Alien X, but the issue is that we’ve only seen them once throughout the entire series and they don’t have any proper story relevance outside the episode they appeared in.
  • The Contemelia weren’t surprised that Ben cut through the barrier with Alien X’s DNA. Maltruant was surprised when Ben did it and said that it was “impossible”, but the Contemelia were calm about it and just said that it was “interesting”, which can really mean anything and is rather vague and ill-defined.
  • The argument of Celestialsapiens being born in the Forge of Creation, which exists outside the universe, as a means of justifying Multiverse+ Celestialsapiens doesn’t work because of characters such as Agregor, Gwen, Kevin, and Ben in base form being able to interact inside the Forge of Creation without any problems.
    • Unless you want to argue that Agregor, Gwen, Kevin, and Ben are all Multiverse+ for some reason, merely existing in the Forge of Creation shouldn’t make Celestialsapiens Multiverse+.
  • Arguing that Atomic-X’s death was a writing mistake wouldn’t make sense from a narrative position because the intent of the Chronosapien Time Bomb was to kill any and all adversaries of Vilgax so that he would be unchallenged (Ben 10,000 included), leaving only No Watch Ben.
    • Additionally, when taking into account the functionality of the Omnitrix’s failsafe, all of the Bens dying in that scene heavily suggests that none of the aliens they had were capable of surviving multiversal destruction.
  • Dereck J. Wyatt’s statement of Alien X destroying the multiverse in “six thoughts” is contradicted by both in-canon evidence and several WoG statements from writers of the show and Man of Action themselves. Also, Wyatt is an art director, not a writer, so he doesn’t have any legitimate voice on the narrative of Ben 10 (Even Kuro himself thinks he’s a rather unreliable source of Ben 10 info).
  • Based on a Man of Action Blog, a Celestialsapien by themself is incapable of surviving “Omniversal” and timeline destruction. An Omniverse, in the context of Ben 10, is the collection of all universes, dimensions, and timelines. Omniversal destruction, in this case, would be equivalent to a traditional Multiverse+ feat, meaning that a single Celestialsapien cannot survive multiversal destruction alone (which is consistent with the Chronosapien Time Bomb scene).
    • Alien X being the “prime” version of a Celestialsapien doesn’t mean that he can survive Omniversal destruction by himself since the blog was referring to the entire species of Celestialsapiens, which would include the strongest Celestialsapiens.
    • The blog does confirm that Celestialsapiens are higher-dimensional beings, but again, higher dimensionality doesn’t automatically suggest being infinitely above lower dimensions unless explicitly stated as such in-canon. Even then, it’s still contradicted by several other sources disproving Multiverse+ Celestialsapiens.

With all of that in mind, I find it very difficult to believe that Alien X is Multiverse+ Level when there’s a lot of evidence that suggests otherwise. Does that mean that I think Alien X is weak though? Of course not. Alien X is undoubtedly a Universe+ Level being that has some pretty strong stuff going for it and is probably stronger than what we currently know about him. However, the issue is how so many people claim that Alien X is “easily” Multiverse+ when a lot of evidence, from logical analyses to even basic math, disproves that notion in the first place.

Was this analysis needed? Probably not, but it was something I wanted to put into a written format, otherwise, it would’ve stayed stuck in my head for a while. If you still believe that Alien X is Multiverse+, I won’t say that I agree with you, but I’m not going to start a witchhunt on you for just having an opinion. I just hope that what I provided can help understand why I have problems with the notion that Alien X is Multiverse+.

Also, the Number 3 and 2 entries are super conditional feats can’t really be applied to Feedback and Clockwork in terms of overall AP. They’re impressive, but not applicable in terms of general stats. Alright, mini-rant over now.

Addendum for Post-Archival Arguments

This small section is mostly going to cover some additional points that I’ve heard in favor for Alien X being higher than Universe+, either being Multiverse+, Higher-Dimensional, etc:

  • Some have argued that since the Contemelia stated that the force field was made to protect them from the Anihilarg, the Anihilarg should be considered a 5D weapon. The problem with this argument is that, if it’s assumed that the Contemelia are Multi+, this clearly contradicts the functionality of the Anihilarg being able to create and destroy singular universes. Unlike the Chronosapien Time Bomb, the Anihilarg was not designed to recreate or wipe out an entire multiverse so by narrative and by design, it should be a Universe+ weapon at most.
  • There have been arguments made that Celestialsapiens should be 26D or higher due to changing the art style in the show as seen in the episode, Universe VS Tennyson. The problem with this argument is that not only is it taking what was likely a gag/jab at the change in art style too literally, but it was also frequently stressed that the changes Celestialsapiens make are to the universe instead of the multiverse/omniverse. Not helping the case is that the Reboot isn’t actually a “reboot” but rather an alternate universe, and the other Bens that appear in the Reboot’s finale are directly from the classic timeline. It was also stated that their appearances in the finale were “just done in the art style of this show”, making the art-style change argument even more dubious.
  • Following more recent WOG that Celestialsapien fusions are weaker than their pure counterparts, I am recently more accepting that Atomic-X is not only weaker than Alien X, but possibly even below half of Alien X’s power (to what extent, however, I don’t know definitively). That being said, if we’re going by higher dimensional power for Alien X, a being with even a fraction of Alien-X’s power should have survived the Chronosapien Time Bomb without much issue (which was more on the 3D/traditional Multiverse+ Level scale, 4D at most if you want to consider temporal dimensions and using timeline destruction as evidence).

Theme:

GAME DROID: In a world where 80% of the world population had supernatural abilities called “Quirks”, there came the rise of that one dream job everyone wanted at one point in their lives: To become a hero. Heroes started to emerge from left and right and, under civil authority, they protected the public from crimal and were rewarded with both fame and money. However, there was one hero in particular who stood out from all the rest, as he was not just the #1 hero around, but also the true embodiment of heroism: All Might.

Pyro Man: A symbol of peace for the entire world, a majority of people looked up to All Might as their idol, including a child by the name of Izuku Midoriya. When Izuku was a little little boy-

GAME DROID: (muttering) Little little boy? Now you’re just-

Pyro Man: He was one of the biggest fans that you could ever think of, possessing multiple clothes, posters, and toys relating to All Might, and continuously watching his debut video. Needless to say, he was a true inspiration on Izuku and was inspired to become a great hero once he got his Quirk… Well, if he actually HAD a Quirk.

GAME DROID: As it turns out, Izuku was one of the few people unfortunate enough to be born without a Quirk of any kind. This left him devastated, as the people around him could no longer encourage him to pursue his dream, and became the victim of bullying throughout most of his life. One of which was a childhood friend of Izuku called Katsuki Bakugo who nicknamed Izuku “Deku”, basically as an insult to call him useless.

Pyro Man: That just makes me wonder HOW Izuku put up with his so called “friend”. However, ten years and thirteen journals with notes about heroes later, Izuku’s life would change forever when he came face to face with his idol, All Might… As well as finding out what All Might’s TRUE form looked like.

Pyro Man: I am going to be honest, if he told me he was All Might in THAT form, I wouldn’t believe him.

GAME DROID: No one would in all honesty, not even Izuku himself when he saw him go back into that form. But what was really important that came out of this encounter was the words that All Might said to Izuku: “You can become a hero”. With a new found determination and the offer to inherit All Might’s power, Izuku would strive to become the world’s greatest hero.

Feats:
-Despite being Quirkless, was deemed by All Might worthy to inherit One for All.
-Went through ten months of rigorous training to become a suitable vessel for One for All.
-Passed the hero exam by saving Ochaco Uraraka and earning 60 rescue points, putting him at 7th place.
-Survived the League of Villains attack at the Unforseen Simulation Joint Facility (USJ Facility).
-In the UA Sports Festival:
-Placed first out of the 42 remaining contestants in the 4 kilometer race.
-His team placed 4th in the Human Cavalry Battle, putting him and his team in the finals.
-Placed in the top 8 of the UA Sports Festival finals.
-During his first internship, created One for All: Full Cowl.
-Alongside Tenya Iida and Shoto Todoroki, defeated the Hero Killer, Stain.
-Passed the final exams with Katsuki Bakugo as his partner fighting against a heavily restrained All Might.
-Defeated the villain Muscular.
-Passed the Hero License exam and got his Provisional License.

Pryo Man: Before the little boy could even attempt to become a hero, Izuku had to go under ten months of rigorous training with All Might, which included moving large objects such as fridges and ovens, regular workout routines such as swimming and push-ups, and of course, getting three good meals a day. It’s just like the sports movies, except Izuku’s training makes it so that he doesn’t blow up when using One for All.

GAME DROID: That’s.. one way to put it, but you have a point. Unlike most other Quirks, One for All is a bit more self-destructive on it’s user, as it has gained more power while being passed down through it’s users. All Might even states that One for All is so powerful, an unsuitable vessel would have their limbs torn off and the body would explode. Now it doesn’t STOP Izuku from getting himself injured from using One for All, but at least he doesn’t become a bloody mess on the street.

Pryo Man: Once Izuku received One for All, however, it’s been an entirely new field for the little boy. When going at full power, he is strong enough to destroy a building sized robot in one punch, generate air pressure powerful enough to destroy multiple building floors, and under intense pressure and adrenaline, incapacitate the villain Muscular.

GAME DROID: Muscular had a Quirk called Muscle Augmentation, which allowed him to survive a 100% Detroit Smash from Izuku with minimal harm… Which was capable of destroying part of a cliff-side and creating a massive dust cloud.

Pyro Man: Though even when Izuku uses only a margin of One for All’s power, which is an ability known as One for All: Full Cowl, he still holds some impressive strength. He can break through stone and concrete without much strain on his body, and managed to stagger a heavily restricted All Might with a single punch.

GAME DROID: One for All also grants him with incredible speed and mobility as well. With it, Izuku can jump insanely long distances when going 100% or hop from place to place in quick succession with Full Cowl.

Pyro Man: Speaking of Full Cowl and speed, we should bring up that Izuku developed this ability while at an internship with All Might’s former mentor, Gran Torino. Gran Torino has a Quirk called Jet, which allows him to control the air around him and exponentially increase his mobility.

Pryo Man: For someone of the short little boy’s age, Gran Torino is pretty fast.

GAME DROID: While having initial struggles with keeping up at first, Izuku eventually managed to get the hang of Full Cowl and became fast enough to keep up, even forcing Gran Torino to dodge seriously for the first time in a while. With this new power-up at his disposal, Izuku was now able to keep on par with fellow classmates such as Bakugo, dodge attacks from multiple enemies at once, and parkour like a pro.

Pyro Man: Well… Not ALWAYS for that last one, but it’s still better than YOUR attempts at parkour, GAME DROID.

GAME DROID: (groans) Don’t remind me…

Pyro Man: Ignoring my co-host’s irritation with me for now, there’s also the fact Izuku is one who constantly pushes his body to the limit when fighting his enemies. Aside from training his body to withstand the power of One for All, which as we stated can blow up the body of an unsuitable vessel, he’s taken a large variety of hits from numerous enemies with various quirks.

GAME DROID: He can take hits from Bakugo’s explosions, which is Bakugo’s Quirk by the way, several injuries from Hero Killer: Stain’s array of knives and swords, and took hits from All Might and Muscular. Then you have the case where Izuku injures HIMSELF in battle when using 100% of One for All’s power, which always leaves him with broken and battered arms and legs.

Pyro Man: Despite all the injuries that he can sustain in battle, however, it is his high pain tolerance that truly makes him a force to be reckoned with, often ignoring his wounds so that he can defeat the opponent in front of him. While this can be seen as either a good thing of bad thing, it’s obvious that Izuku’s self-preservation does not mean as much as others would expect.

Strength:
-During his training with All Might, had to move numerous large objects out of the local beach.
-This included fridges, microwaves, and even a worn-down truck.
-At one point, he had to carry All Might in his hero form, which weighs 255 kilograms (562.169 pounds).
-Even without One for All, is strong enough to carry a large metal plate and swing it around.
-When he used One for All for the very first time, destroyed the 0-Point robot in one punch.
-His attacks are strong enough to generate destructive air pressure capable of tearing through building floors and large chunks of ice.
-Strong enough to stagger All Might with a Full Cowl punch.
-Managed to incapacitate Muscular, who’s Muscle Augmentation Quirk allowed him to survive a direct 100% Detroit Smash.
-Can kick through several thick concrete structures and walls.

Speed:
-Able to jump large distances within a short amount of time.
-Trained with Gran Torino and kept up with him once he developed One for All: Full Cowl.
-Able to dodge attacks from multiple enemies at once.
-Managed to keep up with Bakugo in both of their fights.
-In their second fight, Izuku managed to be faster than Bakugo at 8% One for All.
-One for All: Full Cowl greatly increases his maneuverability and control.

J010 by GAME-DROID-2000

Durability:
-Trained his body so that it was a suitable vessel for One for All.
-An unsuitable vessel would have its limbs ripped off and body explode.
-Took hits from Bakugo’s explosions on several occasions.
-In his battle against Todoroki, tanked a large-scale explosion caused by both his and Todoroki’s Quirks.
-Though Izuku fell into unconsciousness soon after.
-Took several stab and cut wounds from Stain.
-Took a beating from a heavily restrained All Might during his final exams.
-Took hits from Muscular, who can easily break through parts of a cliff-side.
-Possesses very high pain tolerance, as he constantly fights through his injuries in battle.

GAME DROID: Of course, with power as great and destructive as One for All, controlling it was just one of the many things Izuku had to do in order to become a hero. While starting off his training at U.A., he quickly learned how to focus his Quirk’s power into one specific area of his body, minimizing the damage on his body rather than recklessly using it left and right.

Pyro Man: However, thanks to his training with Gran Torino, Izuku learned to focus that power throughout his entire body and use only a small percentage that he can endure. While he won’t be destroying buildings or shooting out deadly gusts or air in that state, it still gives the little boy enough power and mobility to put him on par with his classmates. Case in point, Izuku’s second battle with Bakugo.

GAME DROID: Unlike their first battle, where it was actually a tag-team operation for both sides, their second battle was a direct one-v-one where Izuku was able to fight Bakugo on even footing thanks to his better control of One for All. And although he initially followed in All Might’s footsteps in terms of super moves, Izuku developed his own fighting style that focuses primarily on kicks, with some punching here and there.

Pyro Man: But what makes Izuku a truly formidable opponent is his keen intellect and strategic mindset. He spend a grand majority of his life studying the Quirks of other heroes and his peers, thinking about their strengths, weaknesses, and utility in battle. As a result, he’s grown very observant of his surroundings and the people he’s fighting with and against, picking up on their attack patterns accordingly.

GAME DROID: This makes Izuku very flexible with whatever he can find to use to his advantage in battle, whether it be carrying a metal plate throughout the first event at the U.A. Sports Festival, or cooperating with others to utilize their abilities to their fullest potential. Hell, even Gran Torino remarked how Izuku is a person who thinks before he acts. You know, that one idea that most other Shonen protagonists DON’T seem to realize?

Pyro Man: Don’t you think that’s being a little harsh with that general statement?

GAME DROID: Well I’m not lying. There’s a lot of Shonen protagonist that just choose to punch things really hard.

Fighting Abilities:
-Used to use 100% of One for All’s power while acting accordingly to how he uses it.
-Developed One for All: Full Cowl to use only a percentage of One for All (More info on Abilities).
-Currently, Izuku focuses on using kick-based fighting as a substitute to fighting with just his fists.
-Will still use his fists to fight, but not as extensively as he used to.
-In his second fight with Bakugo, managed to hold his ground and even keep up with him at some points.

Intelligence:
-Has extensive knowledge pro heroes and their Quirks.
-Very observant of his surroundings and situations that he’s in.
-Able to use whatever he finds in an environment and strategically use them to his advantage.
-Able to cooperate with others and utilize their abilities to their fullest extent.
-Is stated by Gran Torino that Izuku’s the kind of person who thinks before he acts.

GAME DROID: But when you live in a world where the idea of Superheroes is a reality, it would come to no surprise that anyone would admire them, especially Izuku. He’s been looking up to them ever since he was a kid, especially giving his praise towards All Might himself.

Pyro Man: All Might must’ve been a good role model too, because Izuku became a kind and selfless person, often wanting to help out the little boys or girls in whatever way he can, even if they don’t want it in the first place. Adding on to this is his strong sense of heroism and bravery, to which he always jumps in to save someone from danger in any given situation, even when he knows he’s at a disadvantage.

GAME DROID: Izuku also puts a lot of weight on his shoulders as All Might’s successor, as he constantly pushes himself to work hard so that one day he can live up to his idol’s image. While this does leave him with moments of self-doubt, he’s usually reassured by his mentor’s words and keeps on moving forward so that he can tell the world: “I am here!”

Pyro Man: And though he doesn’t looks like it at first, Izuku is a fairly competent leader. He is very cooperative with his allies and friends and comes up with strategies with them to utilize the best of their abilties. In fact there was a point where he was Class Representative of his class, though he gave to his good friend, Tenya Iida, as Izuku felt he was more suited for the role.

GAME DROID: That being said, Izuku does have a rather brash and aggressive side towards him, but it’s something he usually keeps in check and really only surfaces in combat. Good thing too, considering how he’s pretty shy towards girls close to his age.

Pyro Man: There are numerous examples to choose from, but one good case was early on when he formally became friends with Ochaco Uraraka. She ended up calling Izuku, “Deku” because that was what she heard when Bakugo called Izuku that, to which then Izuku nervously explained that is was a nickname given to him as an insult.

GAME DROID: But because Izuku is a stuttering mess when talking to girls, it ended up being what Ochaco would call him from now on since she said how it sounded similar to the Japanese Kanji for, “You can do it”… To which Izuku immediately said that he was “Deku” in response.

Pyro Man: Insecurities towards talking to girls aside, Izuku, or Deku if you prefer, can be easily wrapped in his own thoughts and start overanalyzing them to no end. This also tends to result with him mumbling to himself extensively as well, both of which happen quite a lot for the little boy.

Personality:
-Greatly admires heroes since childhood, especially All Might.
-Caring and selfless: Always willing to help his friends in need of support, regardless if they concern him or not.
-Very brave: Doesn’t hesitate to save someone in danger, even if he knows he’s not strong enough to do it.
-As All Might’s successor, pushes himself to work hard so that he can one day live up to his idol’s image.
-Somewhat of a leader: Finds value in his teammates and strategizes with them to achieve the best results.
-Is somewhat brash, mainly showing when he’s in combat.
-Rather shy towards girls his age, ESPECIALLY in abnormal situations.
-Tends to mumble to himself when in deep thought… Which happens quite a lot.

GAME DROID: Being a hero in training in of itself is pretty cool, but it would be incomplete without having a hero costume to fit your theme. Enter Izuku’s third hero costume he’s dawned: Costume Gamma.

Pyro Man: A costume designed by the Support Department student Mei Hatsume, Costume Gamma is personalized to revolve around Deku’s kick-based fighting techniques. The legs of the costume come equipped with Iron armor soles to enhance his kicking strengh, and are strong enough to support kicking through large rocks and concrete walls.

GAME DROID: But that’s not to say that the arms were completely untouched. Izuku’s current costume also comes equipped with arm spikes to help reduce the force and damage taken on his arms.

Equipment:

Costume Gamma:
-Izuku’s third hero costume made by Mei Hatsume.
-Was designed to revolve around Izuku’s Shoot Style fighting technique.
-Arms are equipped with spikes to reduce the damage taken by Izuku’s arms.
-Feet are equipped with Iron armor soles to enhance his kicking powers.

Pyro Man: Now we start to get into the iconic part about Deku as a hero, his Quirk. Unlike most of the little boys and little girls, Izuku’s Quirk was passed down to him by All Might himself, which is the representation of unimaginable power given to those who fight for the greater good. That Quirk’s name is One For All.

GAME DROID: One For All is a very special case in that it’s actually the combination of two different Quirks: One that can stockpile power, giving the user IMMENSE strength, speed, and mobility, and the other that can transfer Quirks to other people. And true to a common phrase about great power, it is entrusted to those with a truly heroic spirit, choosing to put the sake of others before themselves.

Pyro Man: One added bonus of One for All is that it cannot be taken by force without the current wielder’s consent, though it is possible to give it someone else by force. Now that I think about it, how can One for All be transferred anyways? Is it that All Might pulls a DBZ by grabbing Izuku’s hand and transferring the power to him?

GAME DROID: Actually, it’s more…

All Might: Eat this.

Pyro Man: …I’m sorry, what?

GAME DROID: Yeah, the way One for All is passed down is for the host to consume the current wielder’s DNA. In this case, Izuku eating a strand of All Might’s hair.

Pyro Man: That’s disgusting, but I suppose that makes some sense. But that does make me wonder, would One for All also be given if Izuku were to, well… (Inaudible whispering into GAME DROID’s ear).

GAME DROID: (Shocked) WOAH, WOAH, WOAH! PYRO MAN! Let’s try to keep things age-appropriate here. Well – we’re kinda stretching that term since we’re doing a job about fictional characters fighting to the death – but still!

Pyro Man: Alright, alright, I’ll let it go for now. Ignoring my co-host’s audible disturbance, another trait that was seen of One for All was the ability to activate on it’s own while the user is under the effects of mind control. Oh, as well as see the silhouettes of all previous users of One for All, complete with ominous, glowing yellow eyes.

GAME DROID: Somehow, that’s both reassuring and disturbing. That being said, Izuku’s body isn’t completely capable of handling One for All at full power, as whenever he does go 100%, he ends up as a mess of broken bones and horrible bruises. So to remedy this, Izuku developed an ability that only uses a fraction of his Quirk’s power, known as One for All: Full Cowl.

Pyro Man: One for All: Full Cowl, or Full Cowling if you’re an anime-only type of person, is a technique that grants Deku only a small percentage of his Quirk, but concentrates the power throughout his entire body. As an added bonus, it grants the little boy better control and maneuverability of his body, making him much more capable of keeping up with his foes.

GAME DROID: As of right now, the maximum output of One for All that Izuku’s body can handle is 8%, though it was initially only 5%. Now that doesn’t sound like much on paper, but keep in mind in his fight with Bakugo, going from 5% to 8% resulted in Izuku from just holding his own to briefly being able to be faster than Bakugo. Makes sense in context, considering he received the Quirk from the guy who was able to cause the weather to rain from creating a massive vortex with a single punch.

Pyro Man: Full Cowl doesn’t stop there however, as Deku developed a combat style branching off of this ability called Shoot Style. Shoot Style focuses primarily on kicking rather than punching, thus granting him even better mobility as well as a possible increase in power, given that leg muscles are naturally stronger than arm muscles. Plus, it gives Deku more of an identity for himself as he no longer needs to imitate All Might, at least in terms of combat.

GAME DROID: But should our hero in training have his back against the wall in desperate scenarios, Izuku isn’t afraid to go 100% with One for All’s power. That being said, he only uses it as a last resort since it’ll greatly damage his body in the process, making it a deadly double-edged sword.

Pyro Man: Whether he’s going all out of using a small percentage, Deku wouldn’t be a fighter without some power moves of his own, some of which are based off of All Might’s. Starting things off on small end is Delaware Smash, a move where he flicks one of his fingers to shoot out a giant gust of wind.

GAME DROID: The air pressure created by Delaware Smash is so powerful that it’s capable of creating a whirlpool to pull villains in or break through large amounts of ice from Shoto Todoroki. However, we haven’t really seen him use it with Full Cowl, so we can’t exactly say how powerful that would be at 8%.

Pyro Man: What we CAN say however, is that it will leave any finger Deku used for Delaware Smash out of commission, meaning he only has eight attempts at this ability. Or ten if he’s using his thumbs and flicking them with his mouth… Or more if he’s really pushing himself to continue battling.

GAME DROID: But the move that Izuku is most well known for is Detroit Smash, a powerful uppercut that is capable of destroying multiple floors of a building with just it’s air pressure ALONE. But that doesn’t stop there, as there are varying powers of Detroit Smash that Izuku can tap into.

Pyro Man: On the low end of the Detroit Smash spectrum, there’s the 5% Detroit Smash, a attack that uses only 5% of One for All in either a downward or straightforward punch. As for the opposite end, there’s 100% Detroit Smash, which Deku using One for All at full power to deliver a devastating punch.

GAME DROID: 100% Detroit Smash is so powerful, that it’s able to obliterate part of a cliffside in one fell swoop, and send a small child by the name of Kouda flying. Of course, it comes with the downside of damaging Izuku’s entire arm, but it should be expected given the nature of One for All

Pyro Man: But when things are looking bleak and all hope is lost, Deku goes for one final attempt at victory with his most powerful move, 1,000,000% Delaware Detroit Smash. And before any of the little boys and little girls viewings this say anything, NO, it’s not actually 1,000,000%. That was just something Deku said because of his adrenaline rush.

GAME DROID: What is true about this move is that it’s using One for All at max power alongside being enhanced by a state of adrenaline to deliver an exponentially powerful smack at the opponent, possibly even putting it above 100% Detroit Smash in terms of power. It’s so powerful that even Muscular was knocked into submission from one strike alone, And he was able to take a 100% Detroit Smash with little damage taken.

Abilities:

One For All:
-A Quirk that is actually a combination of two different Quirks: One that stockpiles power and the other that can be transferred to others.
-Entrusted by those with a truely heroic spirit.
-Izuku is the ninth user of One for All, inherited by the preceding user, All Might.
-One for All cannot be forcefully stolen if the user does not wish for it to be transferred.
-It CAN, however, be transferred to another person by force.
-Is potentially mind-control resistant, as Izuku used One for All to snap out of Hitoshi Shinso’s Brainwashing Quirk.

One for All: Full Cowl:
-A combat technique that allows Izuku to control a small percentage of One for All throughout his entire body.
-Able to control 8% of One for All with this technique (initially 5%).
-Prevents Izuku from breaking the bones in his body when using this technique.
-Grants Izuku better maneuverability.

F021 by GAME-DROID-2000

Shoot Style:
-A combat variation of One for All: Full Cowl that focuses primarily on kicking.
-Granks Izuku increased mobility, as well as more power due to leg muscles being naturally stronger than arm muscles.
-Developed so that Izuku no longer has to imitate All Might in terms of fighting style.

One for All 100%:
-A technique that uses the full power of One for All.
-Mainly used as a last resort, as it will damage Izuku’s body when used.

Delaware Smash:
-Isuku flicks one of his fingers to shoot an incredible burst of air.
-Air pressure created by Delaware Smash is strong enough to create a whirlpool and break through Todoroki’s ice attacks.
-If using at 100% of One for All’s power, Izuku has 8 shots to use this ability.
-10 if he uses his thumbs.

Detroit Smash:
-Izuku’s signature move based off of All Might’s move of the same name.
-Izuku delivers a powerful uppercut capable of destroying multiple floors of a building just with it’s air pressure.
-Has several variations made by Izuku.

5% Detroit Smash:
-Izuku delivers either a straightforward punch or jumps into the air to deliver a downward punch.
-Uses 5% of One for All’s power.

R003 by GAME-DROID-2000

100% Detroit Smash:
-A straightforward punch that uses 100% of One for All’s power.
-Has enough force to destroy part of a cliff-side and send Kouta flying.
-Damages Izuku’s arm when used.

1,000,000% Delaware Detroit Smash:
-Despite it’s name, is actually using 100% of One for All’s power that is enhanced by a state of adrenaline.
-Very likely to be as strong, if not stronger, than 100% Detroit Smash.
-Izuku delivers a powerful smack with enough force to embody Muscular into the cliffside.
-Was used to incapacitate Muscular, who took a 100% Detroit Smash with little resistance.

Pyro Man: Deku is an incredibly powerful little boy, but one must remember that he’s still a hero in training. He hasn’t completely mastered One for All since it will damage his body if he goes beyond what his body can handle.

GAME DROID: As a result of this drawback, Izuku holds back his power whenever he’s fighting, only going 100% when he absolutely NEEDS to. And while he is very tactical and strategic in combat, his tactics aren’t always without a slow method, and can be pretty reckless to boot. And remember how we were talking quite a bit on how Izuku now puts more focus on his legs rather than his arms? Yeah, there’s a reason for that.

Pyro Man: After being put on the hospital bed with broken arms again for Horikoshi knows how many times, it’s been revealed that the ligaments on Izuku’s arms have been severely damaged from using One for All so many times. What that means is that if Izuku were to damage his arms to the same extent as he has done many times before, he runs the risk of losing functionality of his arms for the rest of his life.

GAME DROID: That’s pretty scary when you think about it. But even with having to deal with either holding back or destroying his entire body, one understandable fact that can’t be changed is that Izuku, the ninth vessel of One for All and successor to the Symbol of Peace, is a bit of a crybaby.

Pyro Man: A bit? Little boy, Deku is able to cry FOUNTAINS of tears for more than a couple of seconds, and have done so on more than one occasion. I honestly would’ve suspected that if he wasn’t born Quirkless, that would’ve been his Quirk right away.

Izuku by GAME-DROID-2000

Weaknesses:
-Still doesn’t have complete control of One for All, as going 100% will injure Izuku.
-As a result, tends to hold back unless the situation calls for him to go all out.
-While smart and tactical, his tactics can be rather reckless.
-Puts the well-being of others before himself, even if that means injuring himself in the process.
-The ligaments on his arms are damaged due to the strain of One for All.
-Is a bit of a crybaby.

GAME DROID: But even if the entire world is looking down on him and is against all odds, Izuku will still keep pushing himself to go beyond the boundaries of a normal hero.

Pyro Man: The little boy still has a long path ahead of him, but Deku will keep on persevering to becoming the greatest hero ever. That being said, I still think that him having to eat All Might’s hair to gain One for All is disgusting.

GAME DROID: Pyro Man, you come in this office every morning drinking lighter fluid. You should NOT be one to talk about that.

Izuku Midoriya: I’m not gonna be your worthless punching bag Deku forever… Kacchan. I’m… I’m the Deku who always does his best!

Syndrome
First Appearance: The Incredibles (2004)
Real Name: Buddy Pine
Alias: Incrediboy (formerly)

GAME DROID: Metroville is one of those superhero cities that’s practically littered with crime, from your average thief to a genius mastermind. Despite this, there would always come a superhero to save the day, from the flexible Elastigirl, the chill Frozone, or the most iconic of them all, Mr. Incredible.

Pyro Man: Many of the civilians looked up to these superheroes, including the little boy by the name of Buddy Pine. Buddy was a huge fan of Mr. Incredible, so much so that had many collectables, posters, and even a costume modeled after his idol- wait a minute. Doesn’t this sound similar to Izuku’s backstory?

GAME DROID: Yeah, but trust me when I say that things play out much differently than what his opponent went through. Buddy, or Incrediboy as he called himself, didn’t have any superpowers of his own, but he still looked up to his idol and wanted to become a hero, so he used his gifted intelligence to craft some inventions like rocket boots. Then came the day that Buddy met Mr. Incredible, sitting in the passenger seat of his super car to tell Mr. Incredible that he was his number 1 biggest fan. Mr. Incredible’s response?

Pyro Man: Eject the little boy out of his car and drive away. But Buddy wasn’t one to give up so easily, as he came later into the scene where Mr. Incredible caught Bomb Voyage blowing up a bank vault, ready to help in whatever way he can. However, instead of being praised for wanting to help out his idol, Mr. Incredible scolded Buddy for his behavior and left him with one phrase that would turn him down a dark path.

GAME DROID: Devastated and furious, Buddy grew resentful of all Supers and proceeded to secretly develop a plan to rid the world of Supers entirely, placing himself as the greatest “hero”. 15 years and numerous disappearances of former Supers later, Buddy would reveal himself to his former idol as his own worst enemy.

Pyro Man: Gone was the little boy known as Incrediboy, and what took his place was the villain and killer of superheroes, Syndrome.

Feats:
-As a child, was a prodigy in engineering.
-Became incredibly wealthy by selling weapons he invented, even earning enough to buy his own island.
-Created the Omnidroid series, which killed 15 out of the 21 (71.43%) Supers recorded by the NSA.
-Succeeded in capturing the Incredibles, twice for Mr. Incredible.
-Unleashed the Omnidroid V10 onto Metroville in an attempt to “save” the people.
-Technically, has never been directly defeated by the Incredibles.
-The only time he’s been defeated (and killed) was because of Jack-Jack’s super powers surfacing.
-Became so popular among the working staff of The Incredibles that he was moved from an opening villain to the main villain of the movie.

GAME DROID: In comparison to what the rest of our combatants had to offer, Syndrome has pretty minimal feats in terms of physicality, with Strength being a completely empty field for him. There’s not too much to go off of speed aside from dodging a log Mr. Incredible threw at him, but he does have great mobility thanks to his Aero Boots, which we will go over later.

Pyro Man: It should also be mentioned that he narrowly avoided a robotic claw coming towards him thanks to the Aero Boots. Though it should be noted that Syndrome ended up flying face first into a building shortly after, but all that did was render him unconscious for several minutes. Aside from that, the only other beating that he’s actually taken was from Jack Jack, but that only lasted for about 30 seconds before he dropped him.

GAME DROID: So with having literally NO strength feats to go off of, durability that seems to be just average, and speed as his only positive category for a fight, why even bother having him fight in the first place? Well, it’s not his physical prowess that make him such a formidable foe against the Incredibles, but rather his genius intellect and usage of his creations.

Pyro Man: Syndrome is more of a ranged fighter rather than anything else, preferring to use explosives and energy beams from his gauntlets to do most of the dirty work. However, if the enemy proves to be a much bigger threat like the Supers for example, then he’ll send out the Omnidroids to dispose of them.

GAME DROID: Well, either that or be destroyed by one of them, but that’s for later in the prelude. What we can say with confidence, however, is that Syndrome is outstandingly intelligent and a gifted inventor. At a young age, he was able to create a prototype of rocket boots back when he was Incrediboy and has only shown more of this with his numerous creations. It even got to the point where Syndrome became rich by selling superweapons and even buying his own island as his lair.

Pyro Man: After being rejected by Mr. Incredible twice in a row, the little boy would go on to spend the next 15 years studying and analyzing Supers from the old days, taking notes of their abilities and weaknesses. He would then use those notes that he took and applied them to the Omnidroid series, improving them one by one as they killed more and more Supers that Syndrome targeted.

Strength:
-No notable feats in this category.

  GIF

Speed:
-Ducked under a log that Mr. Incredible threw at him.
-Has extra mobility with his Aero Boots.
-Narrowly avoided the Omnidroid V10’s grappling claw.

  GIF

Durability:
-Flew directly into a building and was only rendered unconscious for several minutes.
-Took a small beating from Jack Jack.

Fighting Abilities:
-More of a ranged fighter, preferring to use his gadgets for fighting his enemies.
-Mainly uses his Zero-Point Energy Beams in a direct fight against his enemies.
-Against bigger threats such as Mr. Incredible, he sends out the Omnidroid.

Intelligence:
-Easily Syndrome’s most notable category.
-Even at a young age, was gifted in technological engineering, such as his prototype rocket boots when he was Incrediboy.
-Spent 15 years studying and analyzing Supers to learn their abilities and weaknesses.
-Analysed the battle between Mr. Incredible and the Omnidroid V8 to make modifications for the Omnidroid V9.
-Invented numerous super weapons and sold them to become rich.

GAME DROID: While Syndrome grew up in terms of age, his hatred and resentment for Mr. Incredible never went away. He consistently antagonizes the retired superhero after apprehending him on several occasions, mainly as a sort of payback for being rejected numerous times.

Pyro Man: Despite this, Syndrome does show some respect for Mr. Incredible after all of those years, complimenting him for being able to survive near-death scenarios that Buddy put him through. That being said, modesty is the LAST thing that can be said for Syndrome.

GAME DROID: He is very egocentric and vain, always believing that he could be a better “hero” than any Super ever was and gain the spotlight for his deeds. If that wasn’t enough to call him a villain, then you have the much less pleasant and sadistic side of Syndrome.

Pyro Man: Syndrome cares very little about the lives of other people, be it Mr. Incredible’s family, superheroes, and even his most loyal assistant Mirage. Not to mention, he is very open to mocking his enemy when they’re at their lowest point, like he did after capturing Mr. Incredible and “killing” his family. Not exactly the most heroic sounding person that he makes himself out to be, does he?

GAME DROID: That’s not all. After experiencing rejection from his idol, Syndrome vow to make sure that after he became a superhero and grew old, he would sell his inventions so that everyone could be Supers, effectively making the term meaningless.

Personality:
-Has a deep hatred for Mr. Incredible after being rejected by him several times.
-Despite this, does still have some respect for Mr. Incredible.
-Cynical and egocentric: Wants to have the spotlight and believes that he’s the best “hero”.
-Sadistic: Taunts Mr. Incredible after his family’s “death” and holds little regard of other people’s lives.
-Wants to make everyone “Super” so that the term becomes meaningless.

Pyro Man: While Syndrome doesn’t possess any superpowers of his own, he does bring with him an assortment of useful gadgets in combat. His Aero boots are a set of rocket boots that grant him versatile flight and emit blue flames.

GAME DROID: Blue fire in particular is capable of reaching temperatures of around 1500 °C, which is very close to the melting point of Iron, that being 1538 °C. However, they are not entirely fool-proof, as they can malfunction if they are directly hit by something like a laser or a strong punch.

GAME DROID: Moving from his legs to his arms, Syndrome wears a pair of multi-purpose Utility Gauntlets which house the rest of his gadgets, such as his iconic zero-point energy beams. These energy beams are made of quantum energy can encase someone caught in a force field that restricts all movement possible on the victim, even if they are someone like Mr. Incredible.

Pyro Man: These energy beams are capable of affecting both organic and inorganic matter, as Syndrome can effortlessly carry objects as large as carrier trucks with no strain. In addition, he can shoot out these energy beams in short bursts, like when he did while chasing Mr. Incredible or putting up an act against the Omnidroid V10. Though there has been one circumstance when tossing mr. Incredible like a ragdoll, he accidentally sent him flying without meaning to.

GAME DROID: Accidental sending your nemesis into the air aside, if Syndrome needs a little more firepower under his sleeve, he’ll pull out the Miniature I-Bomb. Located on his right gauntlet, the I-Bomb is a deceptively powerful device that once activated, it becomes incredibly sensitive to any contact to its “head” and will unleash a massive explosion.

Pyro Man: A powerful weapon for sure, but Syndrome’s arsenal does not just consist of only weaponry, but effective utility as well. He carries a bio probe located in his left gauntlet that is capable of traversing hard to reach locations, such as underwater caves, and can scan said areas for detection of human life.

GAME DROID: It’s not entirely flawless though, as the bio probe can be tricked if the enemy hides behind a skeleton or corpse of another human, like how Mr. Incredible hid behind Gazerbeam’s skeleton. Then you have the remote control built into Syndrome’s left gauntlet, which allows him to control the actions his most deadly weapon of them all, the Omnidroids.

Pyro Man: The Omnidroids are a series of highly advanced robots designed to kill Supers and be a part of Operation Kronos, a plan to lay havoc onto Metroville and have Syndrome come to save the day, painting him as a false hero. And no other Omnidroid filled this place better than the final model of the series, the Omnidroid Version 10.

GAME DROID: Designed for the final stages of Operation Kronos, the Omnidroid V10 is largest Omnidroid to date, standing tall with long six limbs and two sensor clusters for the top and bottom. It’s body is made out of an unknown metal that is nearly impenetrable to any attacks from the enemy, even if they are from Mr. Incredible himself.

Pyro Man: It’s also very likely that this model of the Omnidroid can survive being submerged in lava, much like how the inferior Omnidroid V8 survived just fine after being thrown in lava. Alongside having a near impenetrable defense, the Omnidroid V10 also possesses an incredibly advanced A.I. system that can accurately predict and calculate the enemy’s movements and act accordingly to them.

GAME DROID: The Omnidroid’s spherical shape also allows it to retract it’s sensor clusters and limbs to roll around the battlefield like a ball for increased mobility. Then there’s the grappling claws on each limb, which can be spun around like sawblaades, fired off to capture someone from a distance, and even come equipped with rockets to give it momentary flight.

Pyro Man: Firing its grappling claws aren’t the only way of long range combat the Omnidroid has, as it also possesses laser guns on each of its sensor clusters. These laser guns are so powerful that they are able to destroy tanks, yet have enough precision to shoot small objects like Syndrome’s remote out of his hand.

Equipment:

  GIF

Aero Boots:
-A set of boots that holds rockets.
-Allows Syndrome to travel far distances in a relatively short amount of time.
-Rockets emit light blue flames, which can reach temperatures of around 1800K (1500 °C).
-Can malfunction if they are directly hit.

Utility Gauntlets:
-Multi-prupose gauntlets worn on both of Syndromes arms.
-Holds several gadgets at his immediate disposal, such as:

Related image

Zero-Point Energy Beams:
-Fields of quantum energy that can be shot out of Syndrome’s fingers from both hands.
-Can lift large objects such as carrier trucks into the air as if they were weightless.
-Completely immobilizes anyone caught by the energy beams, including the likes of Mr. Incredible.
-Has also been shown to shoot short bursts of energy beams against the Omnidroid V10.

Minature I-Bomb:
-A small, but devastating explosive in the shape of an “i”.
-Seems to be very sensitive to any contact on it’s “head” once activated.
-Located on Syndrome’s right Gauntlet.

  GIF
  GIF

Bio-Probe:
-Miniature probe located on Syndrome’s left Gauntlet.
-Able to scan areas for detection of human life.
-Can be fooled if someone hides behind a corpse/skeleton.
-Potentially able to traverse through water.

  GIF

Remote Control:
-Allows Syndrome to manually control the actions of the Omnidroid.
-Located on Syndrome’s left Gauntlet.

The Omnidroids:
-A series of robots created by Syndrome as part of Operation Kronos.
-As a whole, killed 15 known Supers and potentially killed many more.
-Aside from killing Supers, was also intended to defeat Mr. Incredible.
-As a series, each Omnidroid is designed to be better than the last.

Omnidroid V10:
-The tenth and final Omnidroid of the series.
-Designed to be the final stage for Operation Kronos.
-Was “supposed” to be the only Omnidroid that cannot be beaten by any Supers except for Syndrome himself.
-Possesses all the traits of the previous Omnidroids, such as it’s grappling claws and advanced AI.
-Is made of an unknown metal that is nearly impenetrable.
-The inferior Omnidroid V8 was thrown into lava, but emerged soon after without any visible damage.
-Holds two sensor clusters, one on the top and the other on the bottom.
-Has an A.I. capable of reading/calculating an enemy’s movements and reacting based on said calculations.
-Can retract its limbs and sensor clusters so that it can roll like a ball.
-Strong enough to smash through a large wall of ice formed by Frozone effortlessly.

Omnidroid Weaponry:
-Grappling claws: Sharp claws located on each of the Omnidroid’s legs that can be rapidly spun like razorblades.
-Can be fired from their limbs to catch someone from a distance.
-Are also equipped with rockets to send the Omnidroid airborne.
-Laser guns: Laser-based weaponry located on each of the Omnidroid’s sensor clusters.
-Powerful enough to destroy military tanks and accurate enough to shoot the remote controlling the Omnidroid off of Syndrome’s arm.

GAME DROID: Syndrome is a formidable adversary that nearly succeeded in his goals, but he is not the flawless hero he makes himself out to be. He has practically no physical feats to go off of, meaning he has to rely on his inventions and the Omnidroid in order to kill his enemy.

Pyro Man: Not helping the little boy’s case is that if he wants to maintain a steady flight path, he needs both of his Aero Boots to be working properly. Too add onto his reliance of his gadgets, Syndrome is very cocky and arrogant, often leading him to underestimate his opponents and believe he has complete control of a situation.

GAME DROID: Then there’s the faults of the Omnidroid’s design. While it’s grappling claws are powerful weapons in their own right, they can be torn off or manually detached by Syndrome’s remote, making them unusable by the Omnidroid. Adding on to this, they can actually be used against it by being the only known thing in the Incredibles Universe to puncture the Omnidroid’s body.

Pyro Man: Hold on, if Mr. Incredible was able to defeat the Omnidroid V8 by having it continuously stabbing itself, why didn’t Syndrome modify the Omnidroid V10 to make sure that WOULDN’T happen.

GAME DROID: Well, two things come into my head when you say that. The first being that Syndrome needed a way to defeat the Omnidroid himself, so he left that weakness there purposefully. The second is possibly because there is no other way to make it’s body impenetrable by it’s own claws, so he couldn’t do anything to change that… Well, either those two, or Syndrome is a moron that forgot to make modifications for that weakness.

Pyro Man: Hmm, we can speculate about that later. But one fatal flaw that Syndrome undoubtedly didn’t take into account was for the Omnidroid to be unbeatable by it’s own creator. If the Omnidroid registers Syndrome as a threat to it, mainly with the remote to control the Omnidroid, it will turn on it’s creator to get rid of the only way to stop it.

GAME DROID: But above all else, the one fault to Syndrome that ultimately became his own demise was his cape. Now, in most other media, the idea of wearing a cape isn’t really bad and is actually pretty cool. But in the world of the Incredibles… It’s practically a death sentence waiting to happen.

Pyro Man: There are a surprising amount of ways for a cape to kill someone. Getting tugged onto a missile, sucked into a vortex, or in Syndrome’s case, getting sucked into a jet turbine. In other words:

Weaknesses:
-Not a direct fighter: Prefers to use his inventions and the Omnidroid to do the fighting.
-Lacking in physical feats.
-Cocky and arrogant.
-Needs both Aero Boots to function properly in order to control where he’s flying.
-The Omnidroid’s claws can be ripped off or manually unhinged.
-Said claws can also be used to puncture itself.
-Removing/Destroying the brainpan will completely disable the Omnidroids.
-Omnidroid V10 can turn against Syndrome if it detects him as a threat (AKA: Him using its remote on the Omnidroid).
-Is wearing a cape.

GAME DROID: While Syndrome didn’t end up becoming the hero that he dreamed of, he should still be recognized for his cruel acts, genius intellect, and advanced inventions that he’s created.

Pyro Man: Be careful what you say to the little boys and little girls that look up to you. You might end up creating your own worst enemy.

  GIF

Syndrome: I’ll give them heroics. I’ll give them the most spectacular heroics anyone’s ever seen! And when I’m old and I’ve had my fun, I’ll sell my inventions so that everyone can be superheroes. EVERYONE can be super. And when everyone’s super… ‘evil laugh’ No one will be.

Omega’s Electronics, Noon

Today had been like any other day at newly opened electronic store, Omega’s Electronics. People came in, bought whatever new technology was available or what they needed, and then leave without any complaints. However, there were two people in the store that weren’t like any other, both looking for the same thing.

The first one was a short young woman wearing a skin tight pilot suit colored blue, black, and white with pink accents. There were numerous logos and symbols for video game companies on the legs of her on her pilot suit, with a symbol of a bunny on the center of her chest. She wore an odd looking set of metallic headphones with pink accents and had two pink triangles marked on each side of her face. Hana Song, primarily recognized as D.Va, was searching for the latest edition of the “Hextech” hard-drive series, so that she can upgrade her MEKA unit to have better user interface.

However, there was a second person that was looking for the same hard-drive to upgrade his respective mech as well. Standing barely a meter tall, the person wore a gray shirt with a unique pattern, blue shorts, gray boots, and orange gloves. But what really made him stand out in comparison to everyone else is that he had blue fur covering his entire body, large ears, and gold eyes. The fur on the top of his head was shaped like a Mohawk, and he sported large goggles that were orange resting above his forehead.

It took several minutes and quite a lot of jumping before the blue-furred person known as Rumble was able to find the newest Hextech hard-drive, located at the bottom of the shelf. It was the last one boxed in the otherwise empty shelf, but no one else was around to take it nearby, much to the Yordle’s relief. Quickly walking towards it, Rumble placed his hands on the box, only to notice another pair of hands rested on the same item. Following the hands up to the owner, Rumble saw D.Va looking straight back at him, both knowing that they want the same thing.

“Sorry lady,” Rumble said. “But I really need it for some upgrades,” He tried to tug the Hextech hard-drive out of D.Va’s hands, but her grip on the box remained strong.

“Funny,” D.Va spoke in a Korean accent. “I’m kind of in the same situation for my mech,” She then tried to pull the box out of the Yordle’s hands, but to no avail.

“Hey, I saw this first!” Rumble rudely stated, putting emphasis on the “first” and pulling harder. What soon followed was a short Tug-of-War match between the two pilots, with both of them bickering at one another. This scuffle kept on for some time, until D.Va placed her foot on Rumble’s chest and kicked him backwards, causing him to lose his grip and land on his back. Smirking to herself, the MEKA pilot dashed towards the cash register while Rumble tried to pick himself off the ground and follow suit.

But when Rumble reached the cash register, he saw that D.Va just finished paying for it and proceeded to leave the store, not taking notice of the glare she was receiving.

Are you kidding me!?! Rumble thought to himself angrily. As soon as I find the last part needed to finish Tristy’s upgrades, that lady decided to outright steal it from me when I found it first, He kicked the ground in frustration before looking out the window to look at his mech.

It looked to be made out of materials commonly found in the junkyard, with numerous gears and pistons holding the limbs to the body, and levers and gear sticks in the cockpit to control it. It was also armed with a piston-powered mace on it’s left arm, a flamethrower on the right, two harpoons in the center of the body, and three rockets hanging from it’s back. The Rumble sighed to himself, knowing that he wont be able to finish the upgrades for his mech, Tristy, without the Hextech hard-drive. Then an idea jumped suddenly into his head, and Rumble’s frown quickly turned into smile of mischief.

“Oh, that girl is gonna to regret her decision,” Rumble said to himself.

Meanwhile, D.Va was walking towards an open area of the parking lot, happy that she managed to snag the last hard-drive before that Yordle. Putting the box in her arms down, she reached for the bracelet on her wrist to call for her ride.

“HEY! YOU!” She heard someone shout, sounding very similar to the guy she took the hard-drive frpm.

Can’t catch a break, can I? D.Va thought to herself, rolling her eyes before she began to turn around. “What do you wa-” She stopped mid-sentence when she saw a mechanized monstrosity standing right before her, rumbling with life. And sitting inside the cockpit of the junkyard mech was Rumble with both hands on two of the several levers and a look of slight annoyance.

“I don’t know who you are,” Rumble began. “But you have a lot of nerve thinking that you can just come in and take what I had my hands on first,” He put his left hand on the gear stick and pushed it forwards, making Tristy take a step forward and D.Va a step back. “And the way I see things, you have two options. Either give me the hard-drive and I’ll leave you alone, or get a massive beating where I take it afterwards,” Rumble crossed his arms and looked at the person in front of him with a cocky grin.

“So, what’s it gonna be be?” Rumble asked. D.Va took a moment to take in the situation that she was currently in, and how the blue-furred Yordle thought that he had it all under his control. Little did he know, the person he was threatening wasn’t the typical gamer.

“Actually, I’ll take option number 3,” D.Va said before she pressed a button on her right wrist. When she did, a pink flash appeared between herself and Rumble before materializing fully to show what it was. It was a bipedal pink mech suit with twin fusion cannons on each arm, a neon green visor covering the cockpit, and a logo near the top of the mech reading “MEKA”. The back of the MEKA opened up for it’s pilot to enter, to which D.Va wasted no time climbing in and grabbing the controls.

Closing the main hatch behind it’s pilot, the MEKA spurred to life, standing upright and revealing to be even bigger than Tristy herself. As she aimed the fusion cannons towards her enemy she said, “How about YOU get the beating while I take the hard-drive with me?” Normally, most people would be taken aback upon seeing a giant, pink mech fall out of the sky. But Rumble was not like most people, and instead got ready for the battle that was about to unfold.

“Alright sister, the hard way it is,” Rumble said before he placed his hands back on the controls, grinning excitedly. “Time for a Bandle City beatdown!”

FIGHT! by GAME-DROID-2000

Rumble shifted gears to make Tristy charge forwards, pulling it’s mace arm back as he got in close. Being quick on her feet, D.Va pulled up the MEKA’s arms to shield the cockpit from the incoming attack. As the attack connected with the MEKA’s arms, Rumble pushed one of the joysticks further than before, extending Tristy’s arm further and pushing D.Va several feet away. Falling on her back, D.Va shook the cobwebs out of her head and activated her boosters to quickly push the MEKA off of the ground and back onto it’s feet.

As she looked back towards her enemy, the MEKA pilot primed the twin fusion cannons into firing position and focused her aim at Rumble. With her aim locked onto her enemy, D.Va fired a barrage of green, cascading energy rounds. Rumble brought up his left arm and shifted his mech to the side to absorb most of the shots, crouching down slightly to minimize his chances of getting hit himself. Not wanting to play the defensive game for too long, he reached for the lever on the far right of his cockpit and pulled it up.

In a brief flash, Rumble was encased in a green sphere of hextech energy, with multiple bolts and scrap metal shards gravitating near the shield itself. As Tristy started to hover shortly above the ground, the Mechanized Menace brought her arm down and, with a resonating burst of speed, dashed towards D.Va once again. D.Va noticed how her enemy was moving faster than previously, and started to walk back slowly as she returned to firing back at Rumble. The energy rounds hit Rumble directly, but instead of slowing him down like D.Va was expecting, the shots merely bounced off of the Scrap Shield.

With the distance closing between the two mechs once again, Rumble raised Tristy’s left arm in the air as the Scrap Shield began to deactivate, ready to crush the MEKA pilot in her cockpit. With no way of avoiding the attack, D.Va brought up her MEKA’s right arm in a split-second attempt to save herself from harm as Rumble swung down. With a resonating ‘clang’ surrounding the two, the mechs’ arms collided with each other, both refusing to budge from their position.

As D.Va tried to hold Tristy’s arm away from the MEKA’s cockpit, she swung with it’s free arm directly at the junkyard mech’s body, throwing both it and Rumble off balance. Before she could even give her enemy the chance to regain his footing, D.Va wrapped the MEKA’s arms around Tristy and lifted it and the Yordle pilot off the ground.

“Hey, let go!” Rumble shouted, swinging several times at D.Va in an attempt to loosen her grip, but to no avail. With her enemy locked down in an iron grip, the MEKA’s upper body began to spin around with it’s captured foe, increasing in speed with each complete rotation. All Rumble could do was hold on for dear life and pray that he wouldn’t throw up as the MEKA kept spinning him around.

With one final turn, D.Va released the hold that she had on Tristy, sending both the mech and the screaming Yordle pilot flying into the air. The aerial flight did not last for very long though, for Rumble soon came crashing down on the street, tumbling across the asphalt road for several seconds before crashing into an unfortunate white car. The car blared with loud horns from the sudden impact and flashed its lights on and off repeatedly, both of which only worsened Rumble’s headache and mood.

With her enemy down for the count, D.Va walked over to Rumble, ready to put an end to this battle. When the nauseous Yordle pilot started to recover from his headache, he noticed a large shadow looming over him and looked up. What he saw was a pink mech suit standing above him, the pilot inside wearing a smug look on her face. Needless to say, it was NOT a good sign for Rumble.

“Say goodnight fur-ball,” D.Va said, raising the MEKA’s arms above her enemy. She swung both arms down, but instead of bashing through Rumble’s skull like intended, they were blocked by Tristy’s mace arm. Rumble, now recovered from his headache, sighed in relief before staring back at D.Va.

“Alright pinky, you’re not too bad,” Rumble said, motioning his right hand towards a red button near Tristy’s right arm. “But I’m not going down so easily!” Slamming his hand on the button, the Flamespitter on the Junkyard Titan’s right arm turned to life, spewing a continuous wave of fire at the MEKA. D.Va could only cover the cockpit with the MEKA’s arms as it’s body was being consumed in flames, walking back to avoid further harm. As Rumble was keeping D.Va out of reach, he motioned Tristy to get back on its feet and walk towards his enemy, literally keeping the MEKA pilot under enemy fire.

Under the ongoing barrage of fire engulfing D.Va and her MEKA, she quickly figured out that fighting Rumble up close and personal was going to be an uphill battle. But as if fate was on D.Va’s side, Tristy’s Flamespitter turned off and the ongoing wave of fire ended. Not wanting to waste this moment of freedom, D.Va took to the skies and flew towards the roof of Omega Electronics. Landing safely on the rooftop, she turned back around and looked down at her enemy in the parking lot.

“Really?” Rumble shouted so that D.Va could hear. “What was the point of you saying you’ll beat me up if you’re just gonna chicken out like that?” He shook his head before letting out a small laugh. “I guess you’re not as good as you think you are.”

Rumble’s insults got under D.Va’s skin, but she didn’t show it as she tried to formulate a plan to take out the Yordle pilot. She was about to consider just shooting Rumble from where she is until she saw a notification pop-up on her right side. Written in Korean, the message displayed:

SELF-DESTRUCT SEQUENCE: READY

Smiling to herself mischievously, D.Va looked back at Rumble, who had his arms crossed mockingly.

“Alright,” D.Va said loudly. “I’ll bring my mech back down there,” Activating the MEKA’s boosters, D.Va waited until she was just at the edge of the rooftop giving Rumble a surprise gift. Pressing the small, blue button on the left side of the cockpit, D.Va was ejected from her MEKA and landed back on her rooftop with a small, pink laser pistol. As for the MEKA, it continued its descent towards Rumble, shaking rapidly and letting out numerous warning signals as it began to glow neon green.

Rumble’s face quickly shifted from smugness to shock as the volatile mech landed right in front of him. Quickly looking back at the roof, he was D.Va smiling back at him, her cocky posture saying that she won. As for the Mechanized Menace, he only had one thing to say to her.

    “YOU LITTLE-“

KA-BOOM

(Stop Music)

D.Va covered her eyes as the MEKA exploded right before Rumble could finish his sentence, emitting a thick grey and neon green cloud and scattering debris all over the parking lot. D.Va opened her eyes again to see if Rumble and his mech survived the explosion, but she was unable to spot any movement within the dark cloud. After searching through the cloud for a few more seconds, D.Va crossed her arms and smiled to herself.

Serves him right, She thought, holstering her Light Gun and getting ready to call in a replacement MEKA. However, just as D.Va brought up her wrist, she saw a yellow glow emerge from the diminishing smoke cloud. It didn’t take long for the smoke cloud to clear up, and for D.Va to be shocked at what was unveiled.

Standing in the center of the parking lot was Rumble, but in a state unlike anything the MEKA Pilot has seen before. Both Rumble and his mech were glowing in a vibrant, golden-yellow hue and were completely motionless, as if time itself was frozen for them. The stasis didn’t last long though, for the Mechanized Menace’s glow quickly dimmed and his golden sheen changed back to his normal colors. Rumble merely blinked once he was out of stasis, only to immediately fall back on Tristy’s cockpit with a sigh of relief.

Man, that was WAY too close, Rumble thought to himself as he sat back up straight.

“Hold on, how are you still alive from that!?” D.Va shouted, gaining the attention of the blue Yordle. Rumble smiled cockily at his enemy as he reached down underneath his seat with both hands. He then emerged back into view with a large hourglass in his right hand and a small statue with a green gemstone in his left.

“Zhonya’s Hourglass, pinky,” Rumble explained, lifting the hourglass high in the air. “It basically makes me a golden statue that you can’t hurt,” D.Va continued to glare at the Yordle pilot as he put the magic hourglass back underneath his chair.

“And that thing in your other hand?” D.Va questioned, referring to the Warding Totem in Rumble’s left hand. Rumble merely smirked at the MEKA pilot, ready to give her a nasty surprise.

“Oh, you’re about to find out soon enough,” Rumble said, raising the Warding totem and thinking about where D.Va was standing right now. Beneath her feet, a small crack surfaced on the rooftop, and from it bloomed a small plant with a glowing yellow bud. Skeptical of what her opponent was planning on doing, D.Va took a few steps back, keeping a vigilant eye on the mysterious plant.

With the ward placed where he wanted it to be, Rumble put away the Warding Totem and closed his eyes, concentrating his thoughts on where he spawned the mysterious plant. Blue energy started to circle around both the Mechanized Menace and the ward. D.Va, cautious of what was about to happen, brought up her Light Gun with both hands.

Rumble’s body and mech turned completely blue before a beam of pure energy shot into the air directly where he was standing. He then fused with the beam before it completely dispersed upwards, only for another energy beam to shoot down directly on top of the ward. From that ward, Rumble re-materialized right in front of D.Va, the blue hue quickly changing back to his normal colors. Opening his eyes, Rumble looked back at D.Va with a cocky grin, eager to get back to fighting.

“Ready for round 2 pinky?” Rumble taunted, putting his hands back on Tristy’s controls. D.Va glared at him for a moment, only to grin back as she holstered her Light Gun and brought up her wrist.

“Bring it on fur-ball,” D.Va taunted back, calling for another MEKA. Like last time, a pink flash appeared between both pilots before materializing into another MEKA, identical to the one D.Va was piloting before. Hopping into her mech, D.Va locked both fusion cannons at Rumble, ready to take him down. D.Va fired at her enemy, but this time Rumble was prepared and activated Scrap Shield to block the plasma barrage.

The Mechanized Menace charged forwards, ready to knock the MEKA pilot off her feet. Seeing Rumble’s advance, D.Va stopped firing and dashed towards his advancing enemy, ready to play his game. As the two mechs approached closer to the center of the rooftop, they turned to their sides and body slammed each other, rocking the ground beneath them.

Locked into a power struggle, both mecha pilots locked eyes as they pushed against their enemy for an opening, neither one gaining the upper hand. But D.Va was first to resolve the situation at hand and activated the MEKA’s boosters. The sudden force slowly pushed Tristy backwards, creeping towards the edge of the rooftop and a long, painful fall that awaits. Rumble looked back towards the edge, trying to think of a way to save himself from imminent doom before looking back at D.Va.

With an adrenaline-filled shout, Rumble pulled Tristy’s left joystick back as hard as he could, shifting the Junkyard Mech’s body to its left and taking D.Va off-course. D.Va flew off of the rooftop, barely able to control the MEKA long enough to land safely in the parking lot. Shocked and annoyed with Rumble’s little stunt, the MEKA pilot turned around and took a few steps back before taking to the skies once again.

Now that Rumble was the one who had the high ground, he tilted Tristy forwards slightly and took aim for his ace in the hole. He opened a hatch that revealed a large red button with the words “Equalizer” on it and slammed the button hard. The rockets from Tristy’s back fired into the air, soaring for a few seconds before shifting their trajectory towards not just the ground, but also where D.Va was mid-flight.

Numerous alarms went off on D.Va’s monitor indicating approaching projectiles, forcing her to look up to see what was going on. Her eyes widened in dread as she saw the incoming trio of rockets coming her way. Seeing the first rocket coming within seconds of hitting her, D.Va abruptly steered the MEKA to the right, avoiding the rocket by only a slim margin. But she wasn’t safe just yet, for another rocket came into her flight path and forced her to jerk her controls towards another route, this time to the left. Taking a breath of relief from dodging two rockets, D.Va turned towards her opponent and used the remaining time she had in the air to get back on the rooftop.

As she neared the rooftop, however, an alarm went off once again D.Va’s monitor, signaling that the last rocket was about to hit her. in a panic, the MEKA pilot tried to change course like before, but she was too late. The third rocket from the Equalizer attack hit D.Va directly just as she reached the roof, causing the MEKA’s boosters to shut down and stumble across the concrete floor. Groaning in pain, D.Va forced herself to get back up and turn back towards Rumble, who had a wide grin on his face.

“Cheap move trying to shoot me out of the sky,” D.Va frustratingly said, revving up the fusion cannons in the process. Rumble merely scoffed as he rolled his eyes from D.Va’s comment.

“Oh, and dropping an exploding mech on ME is fair?” Rumble quickly retorted. D.Va responded by firing away at Rumble, who at this point already figured out his opponents attack pattern and activated Scrap Shield once again to counteract the MEKA pilot’s attack. But instead of rushing towards D.Va like before, Rumble instead reached a button with a harpoon symbol on it. He slammed the button with his hand, and one of the harpoons popping out of Tristy shot towards D.Va, pulsating with electricity.

D.Va only managed to get a glimpse of the silver projectile before it hit the MEKA’s left arm, causing her to reel her hand back as the cannon pulsed with electricity before going limp. Rumble laughed as the MEKA pilot tried to get the shot cannon to work again, but to no avail.

Alright, one arm down, one more to go, Rumble thought to himself before firing another Electro Harpoon, this time aiming towards the MEKA’s right arm. But D.Va managed to see the second harpoon out of the corner of her eye, and with her sharp reflexes she flicked her controls outwards. The moment she did, a large neon green grid appeared right before the MEKA’s visor. Soon after, the Electro Harpoon got within the Defense Matrix’s range, causing the MEKA to lock onto the projectile and shoot small specks of energy from its active fusion cannon, chunking the harpoon down to scrap metal.

Rumble stared in shock at the fact that the MEKA shot a high speed harpoon straight out of the sky, all the while still having one arm functioning. To make matters worse, he checked the heat monitor and saw that that it was at its halfway point.

Wait a minute, Rumble suddenly thought, remembering what side effects come with overheating. I can use this to my advantage! As he mentally thanked himself, he saw D.Va charging towards him, pulling the MEKA’s right arm back. The Mechanized Menace responded back by doing the same thing as her opponent, reeling Tristy’s mace arm as both mech pilots drew closer. Once they were within arm’s reach of each other, D.Va swung the MEKA’s arm directly where Rumble was sitting at…

Or that was the plan, but a brief flash of light quickly blinded her before fading just as suddenly as it appeared. When D.Va started to recover her eyesight, she saw that Rumble was no longer in front of him.

“What the- where did that fur-ball go?” D.Va questioned out loud.

“Right behind you!” She heard Rumble’s voice shout. D.Va turned towards her back as quickly as possible, only to be met with a backhand strike from Tristy’s mace arm, knocking her back a few steps. However, Rumble wasn’t done there, for he activated the Flamespitter once again, this time unleashing a wave of red flames that burned hotter than the ones before. D.Va tried to shield herself and back away from the fire as much as possible, but she knew that the more she kept backing away from Rumble, the closer she got to the edge of the roof. What made things worse was that multiple warnings were flashing that the MEKA was in a critical state, and she needed to get out of it soon.

Rumble continued to keep D.Va at bay with the Flamespitter, up to the point where the MEKA pilot was just teetering at the edge of the rooftop. Just as she got to the edge, Tristy’s Flamespitter shut off, giving D.Va time to get a glimpse of her opponent.

That glimpse was Rumble charging straight into her, ramming the MEKA head-on and sending them both off the roof.

D.Va could only stare at Rumble with shock, wondering if the Yordle was stupid or downright insane. But as the mechs neared the ground, D.Va knew that if she didn’t do something now, she’ll become a bloody mess between two mechs. With little time to spare, D.Va ejected herself out of the MEKA right as they reached the ground, tumbling roughly on the street as Rumble and the mechs crashed right in front of her.

The MEKA’s cockpit was crushed by Tristy’s weight, becoming nothing more than a mess of broken glass and deformed controls. As for Rumble, he was slumping inside Tristy’s hull after the crash landing, groaning as he attempted to get back on his seat. Once he was back on the controls, he motioned Tristy to get off of the destroyed MEKA, now emitting smoke from it’s hull.

“OK,” Rumble groaned, still reeling in pain from the fall. “That plan went a LOT better in my mind,” He then turned towards D.Va, who began to get back up with some trouble having taken a rough landing herself. She went for her wrist to call another MEKA, but instead of bringing down another mech it just made a short, low beep. Confused, D.Va pressed the button again, only to hear the beep again. She mashed the button a few more times in frustration, all of which lead to the same result with no MEKA appearing right before her.

“Of all the times for this to happen, why now!?” D.Va shouted in frustration. She heard Rumble laugh at the MEKA pilot’s misfortune, which only annoyed her even more. Seeing that their wasn’t many options left aside from admitting defeat, which was something that D.Va refused to do, she unholstered her Light Gun and aimed it at Rumble. This made the Yordle pilot stop laughing, admittedly surprised that his enemy is still going to put up a fight.

“Wow, you do not want to give up that hard-drive, do you?” Rumble asked rather rhetorically. D.Va merely smirked at the Yordle despite the disadvantage she was in.

“I either win or lose when it comes to a fight,” D.Va said confidently. “And I haven’t lost just yet!” Rumble had to give it to the MEKA pilot, she had the guts to stand up to him without a mech to back her up. But much like her opponent, Rumble wasn’t one to give up either.

“Don’t think you’ve won just yet though,” He retorted, charging at D.Va with full ferocity. Once he was within range, Rumble swung Tristy’s mace arm towards the MEKA pilot’s head, only for D.Va to duck underneath the attack just in time. Though D.Va knew that she’ll have a harder time fighting without a MEKA, she knew that her opponent would have to try twice as hard to hit her now that she’s a smaller target.

Quick on her feet, D.Va fired a shot directly at Rumble himself, who jolted back from the controls so that he wouldn’t get hit. Using this brief opening, D.Va jumped away from Rumble and started firing the rest of the Light Gun’s clip at him, only for the Mechanized Menace to activate the Scrap Shield once again. Seeing the shield up once again, D.Va started to run away from her enemy, hoping to keep as much distance away from Rumble as possible. However, Rumble was not one to let his enemies go so quickly and soon gave chase, moving at speeds much faster than the previous times he used Scrap Shield.

The battle soon turned into a game of cat and mouse, with the MEKA pilot trying to evade the pursuing Yordle and his mech throughout the debris covered parking lot. D.Va continually fired at her opponent while running away, but each shot merely bounced off of the green shield surrounding Rumble. As the chase progressed, the distance between both pilots slowly shortened, causing D.Va to become worried for once throughout this entire fight. Despite this, she continued to fire at Rumble in hopes of stalling out the battle.

D.Va’s firing spree did not last for very long though, for the Light Gun soon ran out of ammo, forcing the MEKA pilot to pull back and reload. She discarded the empty clip and reached for a new one, but she neglected to look where she was going while reloading and tripped on a large chunk of asphalt. D.Va fell right in front of Rumble as she lost her grip on her customized pistol. She looked back at the Yordle pilot, who crossed his arms in victory after catching up.

“Come on pinky, you might as well give up,” Rumble taunted, placing his hands back on the controls to bring Tristy’s mace-arm above D.Va’s head. D.Va glanced back at the Light Gun, then back at Rumble. “I ALWAYS get back at anyone who tries to screw with me!” He shouted, bringing down his mech’s arm to put an end to the MEKA pilot and the fight. D.Va saw the mace coming straight towards her, and out of natural instinct pushed herself out of the way before the attack connected. Tristy’s arm smashed into the street a lot harder than Rumble anticipated, as it’s arm was now stuck in place and wouldn’t move.

Now’s my chance, D.Va thought to herself as she got up, thinking of a way to fight back while Rumble was stuck. As she was formulating a plan, she suddenly remembered about how Rumble was able to survive the MEKA’s Self-Destruct with that hourglass he showed before. After putting some thought into the plan, D.Va ran straight towards Rumble, who was still trying to get Tristy’s mace arm to budge.

With a sharp pull of Tristy’s controls, Rumble finally managed to free his mech from the street and have it stand back up properly. Now that he was able to move freely again, Rumble looked around to see where D.Va was, only to see her jumping up and climbing on Tristy’s hull. The Yordle pilot was only left to wonder what exactly D.Va was trying to do.

“Hey, what are you-” D.Va punched Rumble in the face mid-sentence, causing him to fall back on the controls and accidentally turn on the Flamespitter. Meanwhile, D.Va was looking underneath the pilot seat to find Zhonya’s Hourglass. Once she found the magic hourglass, D.Va grabbed it and started to climb out of Tristy. However, she neglected to think about Rumble, who managed to regain his conscious and see the MEKA pilot with his hourglass. In a panic, Rumble lunged forwards and grabbed D.Va by her hair, pulling her back inside the junkyard mech.

“OW OW OW!” D.Va shouted as Rumble continued to firmly pull her hair. “Let go of me!”

“Not until you give me back that hourglass!” Rumble shouted back, now jumping on top of the MEKA pilot’s back and wrapping both arms around her neck. In retaliation, D.Va grabbed Rumble’s right ear with her free hand and pulled on it hard. What soon commenced was a scuffle where both pilots were lashing out at each other, with Rumble trying to take back his hourglass and D.Va trying to get Rumble off of her. But as their fight continued, both failed to neglect that the Flamespitter was still on and was quickly overheating Tristy’s system.

Their clash got to the point where both pilots got a firm grip on Zhonya’s Hourglass and were trying to push away from the item, similarly to how they started fighting over the hextech hard-drive. But as it looked like the hourglass was going to break from the tension, a loud noise started to beep, causing both pilots to stop dead on their tracks and look at the heat monitor. The monitor displayed that it has reached it’s maximum heat containment, and soon enough Tristy started to glow a bright red from the excess heat. As for D.Va and Rumble, they reacted in the same way any normal person would.

Scream loudly and try to get off of the mech as soon as possible.

(Stop Music)

Rumble let go of the hourglass as he tried to keep his feet off of Tristy for as long as possible while D.Va tried to climb out of the mech as fast as she could. Tristy kept overheating for several more seconds before it activated its cooling system, engulfing both it and Rumble in a cool mist. A sigh of relief came from the Yordle pilot as his mech started to turn back into the bronze color it had before. Meanwhile, D.Va got out of Tristy and swiftly threw the hourglass towards the ground, shattering the glass and spilling it’s sand all over the street.

Rumble would’ve groaned in anger from D.Va breaking the hourglass, but he then heard mechanical noises coming from Tristy’s back. Taking a look back, he saw that three rockets have been reloaded and are ready for firing. Rumble smiled cockily to himself as he turned back towards D.Va.

“Alright, you managed to put up a good fight, I’ll give you that much,” Rumble complimented. “But unless you want things to get REALLY messy, you might as well fork over the hard-drive,” D.Va looked at Rumble, knowing that she can’t do anything without her MEKA, then turned her gaze over to her wrist to call one. At this point she could either give up and hand over the hard drive, or attempt to call one more MEKA in a last-ditch effort to win this fight. Having decided what she wanted to do, D.Va turned back towards Rumble, her eyes staring back at his.

“Make me,” She said, reaching for her wrist and pressing the button.

Before Rumble could even attempt to move towards D.Va, a MEKA materialized right between the two pilots, blocking his view of her. D.Va let out a breath of relief that her wrist watch finally worked before climbing into the MEKA. Once she was in, she took a good look at Rumble, who only stared back at her in shock and frustration.

“Seriously!” Rumble shouted. “How many of those mechs do you have!?” D.Va merely smiled at her enemy’s anger as she got into position to fight once again.

“Enough to make sure you don’t win!” D.Va said, revving up the MEKA’s fusion cannons. Rumble merely growled at D.Va before he closed his eyes and let out a small chuckle.

“Well they must be pretty bad if you need to have more than one,” Rumble retorted, opening his eyes with anticipation. Without any hesitation, both pilots charged at each other, ready to finish their battle right here and now.

As the distance between them only reached a couple of feet, D.Va acted first by using the MEKA’s boosters to propel herself upwards and use its legs to kick Tristy back several feet. As Rumble tried to keep Tristy on balance, D.Va deactivated her boosters and raised both of the MEKA’s arms as she descended towards the Mechanized Menace. Once Rumble got Tristy to stand upright again, he saw a shadow looming over him and looked up to see D.Va falling towards him. As she reached the ground, D.Va swung both arms downwards, only to be stopped halfway by Tristy’s mace arm.

As he held the MEKA’s arms back, Rumble aimed the Flamespitter directly at D.Va and activated it, engulfing the MEKA in orange flames. D.Va backed away as soon as she saw the flamethrower’s barrel, bringing the MEKA’s arms up as a shield. As she was distracted by the ongoing barrage of flames, Rumble pulled back Tristy’s mace arm and thrusted forwards, knocking the MEKA on her back. Not wasting anymore time with this battle, Rumble activated the Equalizer once again, launching the rockets on Tristy’s back into the air like last time.

As D.Va was trying to recover from the knock-back, multiple warnings displayed as she saw the trio of rockets coming towards her in rapid succession. Knowing that she couldn’t move out of the way in time, the MEKA pilot instead went for her only other option. Flicking her controls outwards, the neon grid from Defense Matrix appeared and locked onto all three rockets once they reached its range. The Fusion Cannons fired in quick, short bursts that tore through the rockets in swift succession, dismantling them into nothing more than harmless scrap metal.

Rumble’s jaw merely dropped as he saw his deadliest move be reduced to nothing so easily as D.Va got back up. But his shock did not last for long, as it quickly turned into rage as he furiously charged towards D.Va with a roar. D.Va merely smiled confidently as she waited for the Yordle pilot to close the gap. As Rumble got within range, he turned Tristy to its side as he tried to body slam D.Va, only for the MEKA pilot to jump out of harm’s way. With his back turned against his opponent, D.Va brought her arms up with anticipation to crush the Yordle pilot.

Rumble’s ears twitched when he heard the MEKA’s footsteps and turned around to see D.Va charging towards him. In a panic, Rumble activated the Scrap Shield just as D.Va was about to strike. The MEKA’s arms collided with the green energy field, but it only managed to make a small pulse on the shield before bouncing back from it. D.Va started to get annoyed with the shield and struck it once again, only to yield the exact same results as before.

Rumble laughed at D.Va’s failed attempts to break the Scrap Shield, which only irritated the MEKA pilot even further as she started unleashing a barrage of MEKA punches. One after another, each strike made a resonating pulse on the shield, but none of them made any crack on the shield.

“You can’t keep this up forever pinky,” Rumble said amidst the continuing onslaught. “Sooner or later you’re gonna have to realize that you can’t break through the shield, so you might as well give-“

D.Va let out a battle-cry as she raised both of the MEKA’s arms before slamming down on the Scrap Shield with full force. The attack collided, but instead of the MEKA’s arms bouncing off like before, they made a large crack on the green shield. D.Va didn’t stop there, however, as she kept slamming on the shield again and again, each time making the cracks bigger and wider. Then, when D.Va brought up the MEKA’s arms one more time, she slammed them through the weakened shield, shattering its form like glass and leaving Rumble speechless.

“You were saying?” D.Va asked rhetorically. Rumble merely responded by thrusting Tristy’s mace arm towards the MEKA’s cockpit, only for it to be blocked by it’s left cannon. With it’s other cannon free, D.Va started firing point-blank at the Yordle pilot, who was forced to sink back into Tristy’s hull as it took most of the damage. Shards of metal started to tear off of the junkyard mech with each plasma shot it took, exposing its internal mechanisms and wiring.

Once she felt like she did enough damage, D.Va used both of the MEKA’s arms to knock Tristy off of it’s feet, resulting in Rumble tumbling inside its cockpit in the process. D.Va began to rev up the fusion cannons to finish the fight, but stopped as she received another notification signaling that the Self-Destruct Sequence was ready. Not needing anymore instructions, D.Va confidently smiled to herself before activating the MEKA’s boosters.

Meanwhile, Rumble was starting to crawl back onto Tristy’s pilot seat, albeit with some struggle from the pain of being tossed around before. But once he got back on the controls and motioned Tristy to stand back up, he caught the glimpse of D.Va flying towards him. Rumble only managed to let out a short yelp before he was rammed into by the MEKA, falling out of Tristy’s cockpit and landing face-first on the MEKA’s visor. Rumble managed to get a look at D.Va, who wore a confident look at she reached for a button on her left side.

“Nerf this!” She taunted as she pressed the button. Turning the MEKA up towards the sky, D.Va waved her hand at Rumble before ejecting herself out of the pink mech as it continued to fly into the air. As for Rumble, he started to feel the rapid shaking of the MEKA as it started to glow bright green and make numerous warning signals.

“Aw crap…” Rumble muttered to himself as he closed his eyes, knowing all too well what was going to happen next. As the MEKA reached it’s peak of ascension, it exploded along with Tristy and it’s unfortunate pilot. Chunks of metal started to descend all over the parking lot as D.Va stared at the giant smoke cloud in the air. After a few more seconds, she started to walk back towards where she left the Hextech hard-drive, which was still in perfect condition despite the battle that was going on.

“GG furball, GG,” D.Va said to herself as she picked up the hard-drive, ready to call for a ride home.

KO! by GAME-DROID-2000

Pyro Man: D.Va too overpowered. Riot, please nerf.

GAME DROID: …Wrong video game company Pyro Man. Anyways, while Rumble’s abilities and items looked like they would overwhelm the MEKA pilot, D.Va’s skills and her mech proved to be more than a match for the Mechanized Menace.

Pyro Man: In terms of both mechs’ physical capabilities, Tristy was overall stronger and more durable despite the size and weight disadvantage. It’s capable of damaging tougher enemies and can take more hits from a wider variety of sources than the MEKA.

GAME DROID: Rumble also faced a wider variety of enemies and Danger Zone boosts his already strong abilities and Magic Damage. Add in the fact that he can use his Ultimate right away and D.Va can’t, Rumble would seemingly have have the fight in his hands.

Pyro Man: But there were some other factors that said otherwise. First of all, the little girl had by far the more mobile mech, as the MEKA has the ability to fly for two seconds while Rumble’s Scrap Shield only gives him extra movement speed for one second.

GAME DROID: And in terms of reaction speed, Hana was always one step ahead of the Yordle pilot. Her years as a competitive gamer trained her to have the reactions needed to pilot the MEKA, especially whenever she uses Defense Matrix.

Pyro Man: Defense Matrix was essentially Rumble’s Kryptonite in this battle, for it can not only shut down Electro Harpoon, but also his Ultimate. While yes, the Equalizer fires into the air and onto it’s designated target, the rockets themselves are still fundamentally projectiles.

GAME DROID: For those that need a refresher, Defense Matrix shoots any projectiles within it’s range out of the sky. And taking into account that D.Va’s Twin Fusion Cannons can fire constantly without any need of reloading, she can basically harass Rumble from a farther distance pretty frequently.

Pyro Man: But what if D.Va’s mech were to be destroyed? Surely she would have no way of being able to win against Rumble at that point, right?

GAME DROID: Not exactly. While D.Va isn’t going to be able to WIN without her MEKA, she still has the means to fight back until she can call for a replacement mech. Rumble, on the other hand, doesn’t have the same luxury. Once Tristy is destroyed, he’s basically a dead man, plain and simple.

Pyro Man: Finally, D.Va’s Ultimate, Self-Destruct, has a massive explosion Radius and the MEKA can keep the momentum of the Boosters if they are used. While it’s true that she’ll be ejected from her mech when she uses this ability, D.Va can call another MEKA right after the first one explodes, allowing her to jump right back into the fight.

GAME DROID: Yes, Zhonya’s Hourglass allows Rumble to easily negate D.Va’s ult himself, but it makes him completely stationary and comes with a long cooldown after it’s use. All in all, while Rumble had a much better damage output and advantage in physicality and versatility, Hana Song had more ways of maneuvering around her enemy, staying out of Rumble’s range, and putting a stop to his abilities. Sometimes less ends up being more.

Pyro Man: Ultimately, it was game over for Rumble.

GAME DROID: The winner is D.Va.

D.Va
First Appearance: Overwatch (2016, Announced November 6, 2015)
Real Name: Hana Song
Age: 19
Height: 4′ 9″
Nationality: Korean
Occupation: Competitive StarCraft player (formerly), MEKA Pilot, Actress
Role: Tank

Theme:

GAME DROID: Before she became the MEKA pilot that we know today, Hana Song was once a competitive StarCraft player, and one of the best in the world. At the age of just 16, she became the #1 StarCraft player and would remain holder of that title for 3 years straight.

Pyro Man: So the little girl is basically Faker, but replace League of Legends with StarCraft, has a bigger ego, and can pilot a mech.

GAME DROID: …Yeah, pretty much. Hana, or more commonly known as D.Va, would become an international star and gain a reputation for showing no mercy to her enemies. But while D.Va was having a good time, her homeland was a different story.

Pyro Man: Back in South Korea, the little boys and little girls of the Mobile Exo-Force of the Korean Army, or MEKA for short, were struggling to defend against a large omnic that continuously attacked the nation. To make things worse, the omnic was capable of adapting after each encounter with the MEKA forces, to the point where it ended up disrupting the drone-control network.

GAME DROID: With drones being unable to do anything to the robotic titan, MEKA needed to find suitable pilots with the reflexes necessary to pilot the mechs’ weaponry system. So who exactly did they look for suitable candidates you ask? Professional gamers, of course.

Pyro Man: D.Va was one of those gamers to be drafted into the MEKA unit. Seeing her new mission as a game, D.Va now fearlessly pilots her mech into battle, becoming a global icon that’s ready to defend her nation with no hesitation.

GAME DROID: That, and become the bane of every Overwatch player’s PVP experience.

Feats:
-Became the #1 ranked Starcraft player at the age of 16.
-Would remain undefeated for the next three years.
-Is a well known international star across the world.
-Drafted into the Mobile Exo-Force of the Korean Army (MEKA) Unit.
-Became so famous that she got her own movie, “Heroes of my Storm”.
-Went on numerous combat operations in Korea.
-Considered to be one of the stronger heroes in Overwatch.

GAME DROID: When it comes down to it, a good majority of D.Va’s physicality feats come from her MEKA. But in terms of strength, neither D.Va nor her mech really have anything special to go off of aside from being able to harm enemy heroes with her melee attacks.

Pyro Man: However, speed is a completely different story for both the little girl and her mech. For D.Va, she has incredibly fast reflexes thanks to her experience as a gamer and whenever she’s out of her MEKA, her small stature makes it difficult to land any hits on her.

GAME DROID: She can evade rockets, bullet and plasma fire, arrows, and more projectiles both common and obscure. Her MEKA, on the other hand, doesn’t have that same luxury. Because of the MEKA’s size, D.Va is much easier target to hit, thus making her more vulnerable to taking damage.

Pyro Man: That being said, she does have the ability of temporary flight thanks to the MEKA’s Boosters, making her more mobile in the air. But even it isn’t the most mobile outside of the flight mechanic, it can sure take a considerable amount of damage.

GAME DROID: Being classified as a Tank Hero, D.Va’s mech has a massive health pool of 600 HP, with a third of it being armor. For those who don’t know about the health mechanic in Overwatch, armor is a variant of a hero’s health that takes 3 less damage than regular health.

Pyro Man: While the damage reduction is barely noticeable with high amounts of burst damage, it can be beneficial for taking hits from rapid-fire damage like machine gun fire. And her MEKA can take a large assortment of damage ranging from laser beams to explosives such as rockets and grenades.

GAME DROID: The same cannot be said for D.Va herself though. While she can take hits from the same kinds of weapons we mentioned earlier, she has much less health than she does while inside of her MEKA. Durability limits aside, Song wouldn’t be a good pilot if she didn’t have any fighting experience under her belt.

Pyro Man: Her years as a professional StarCraft player trained D.Va to have heightened reflexes necessary to become a pilot, and has put said reflexes to the test time and time again in various missions. And when it comes to the game itself, she’s gone against several unique people such as Junkrat, Hanzo, Soldier: 76, and basically every other hero in Overwatch.

Strength:
-Can harm enemy heroes with her melee attacks.
-Outside her MEKA, nothing truly notable.

Speed:
-Has incredibly fast reflexes thanks to her experience as a gamer.
-Pretty agile outside of her MEKA.
-Can evade rockets, bullet fire, arrows, and more.
-Not as agile inside her Mech, due to the MEKA’s size.
-Very agile in the air thanks to Boosters (See MEKA Equipment).

Durability:
-As a tank Hero, D.Va has a large amount of Health while inside her MEKA.
-Can take hits from rockets, plasma rounds, bullet fire, frost streams, and more.
-A third of the MEKA’s overall health is Armor.
-Armor takes 3 less damage than health.
-Outside her MEKA, more vulnerable to damage.
-Can take hits, but not to the same extent as inside her MEKA.

Fighting Abilities:
-Fast reflexes makes her an exceptional MEKA Pilot.
-Partaken in numerous combat operations against the Omnic forces.
-In-game, gone up against heroes such as McCree, Winston, Mei, and more.

GAME DROID: If there is one thing that should be known about D.Va, it’s that she is very competitive, showing no mercy in combat and the refusal to accept defeat. This sense of competition, however, does come along with an ego, as D.Va will often take the time to smack-talk her enemies if she’s in the lead.

Pyro Man: And for those that didn’t get the point about D.Va being a former competitive StarCraft player, she is very passionate about video games. She’s played numerous games that range from arcade games to one that she even has on her mech, and makes several references to both games and the culture they represent.

GAME DROID: And while D.Va can be rather egotistical, that doesn’t mean that she holds no regards for her loyal fans. She enjoys the praise that she receives from them and does what she can to make them happy. Even if one of those things is morally questionable.

Pyro Man: By that the little boy means that D.Va streams her combat operations for her audience to watch. How MEKA even allows her to do this in the first place is up to anyone’s imagination honestly.

Personality:
-Very competitive mindset, refusing to accept defeat.
-Sees her mission as a MEKA Pilot as a game.
-Pretty egotistical, often smack-talking her enemies.
-Passionate about video games, even making references to them.
-Enjoys the praise and happiness from her fan-base.
-Actually streams her missions for her audience.

GAME DROID: But what would D.Va be without her most defining aspect about her character, the MEKA? Designed by the military unit of the same name, the MEKA comes equipped with several features such as twin Fusion Cannons and Boosters.

Pyro Man: It is also capable of making holograms in the shape of a heart, as seen in one of her taunts right here.

Image result for d.va overwatch gifs

Pyro Man: Though it should be noted that we only see this used in this specific taunt only and not in any form of combat, implying that this ability is purely cosmetic.

GAME DROID: Still a pretty cool function if you ask me. Aside from that, it should be known that D.Va does most of her fighting piloting the MEKA, only fighting outside of it if it’s destroyed. But if that were to happen, all hope is not lost since she can call for a replacement mech if she’s given enough time.

Pyro Man: Since D.Va fights primarily inside her MEKA, it has several abilities and features to give her a spot in the Overwatch Hero roster. It has twin Fusion Cannons, one equipped on each arm, that fires a continuous barrage of rapid-fire, shotgun-like rounds.

GAME DROID: The Fusion Cannons do come with the downside that it loses damage and accuracy the farther the enemy is and that she moves slower when firing. On the plus side, they never require reloading, so D.Va can constantly zone out her enemies if they try to get in close.

Pyro Man: The MEKA also comes equipped with a forward-facing targeting system known as Defense Matrix. Defense Matrix exchanges D.Va’s ability to attack her enemies for being able to shoot out any projectile within the targeting system’s range, making for a great defensive tool.

GAME DROID: And remember how we said that D.Va’s mech isn’t that mobile? Well that gets thrown out of the window with the Boosters located on it’s back. While the duration only lasts for 2 seconds, D.Va can cross pretty big distances that can reach a maximum range of 25 meters.

Pyro Man: The Boosters are not only good for closing and widening distances, but they can also be utilized to ram into the enemy. And considering the MEKA moves at 12.5 meters per second, or 45 km/hr, that’s bound to be painful for any little boy or girl that is in the way.

GAME DROID: Then there is D.Va’s Ultimate ability, Self-Destruct. True to the name on the cover, D.Va sets her MEKA to blow up within a 3 second fuse and ejects herself in the process. This Ultimate can also be used in combination with the Boosters, as the mech will continue to keep the momentum if it’s set to explode during the flight.

Pyro Man: Not to mention that D.Va can call for another MEKA as soon as the first one explodes, keeping the time she’s out of one to a minimum. Also, for some odd reason, D.Va herself doesn’t get injured if she’s in the explosion radius.

GAME DROID: Video game logic, Pyro Man. Video game logic.

Pyro Man: …That’s going to be your excuse for every absurd video game mechanic, isn’t it.

GAME DROID: It’s better than trying to hurt your brain to explain that kind of BS. Anyways, if D.Va’s MEKA is destroyed by means that aren’t Self-Destruct, she can at least fight back with her Light Gun. It’s only used when she’s out of her mech and has an ammo clip of 20, but it can still dish out a rather big amount of damage if her enemies aren’t careful.

Pyro Man: And if she can stay out of harm’s way long enough, D.Va can call upon another MEKA to replace the previous one, much like her Ultimate.

MEKA Mech:
-Mech created by the Mobile Exo-Force of the Korean Army (MEKA).
-Equipped with several features such as Fusion Cannons, Boosters, and more.
-Can make Pixel-like holograms in the shape of a heart.
-Fights primarily inside her Mech.
-Can call for another MEKA if the one she’s using gets destroyed.

MEKA Equipment and Abilities:

Dual Fusion Cannons:
-Twin rapid fire rotating cannons.
-MEKA has one equipped on each arm.
-Fires continuous shotgun-like rounds.
-Damage decreases the farther the enemy is.
-Moves slower while firing.
-Does not require reloading.
-Fire Rate: 6.67 RPS
-Damage: 0.6 – 2 damage
-Falloff range: 10 to 20 meters

Defense Matrix:
-MEKA’s forward-facing targeting system.
-Shoots any projectile within it’s range out of the air.
-Projectiles include rockets, bullets, arrows, and more.
-Cannot attack while in this state.
-Maximum range: 15 meters
-Duration: 4 seconds when fully charged
-Cooldown: 1 second
-Can take a max of 10 seconds to fully recharge.

Boosters:
-D.Va launches into the air via Boosters on the MEKA’s back.
-Can change her direction during the flight.
-Can ram into enemies with this ability to do damage.
-Maximum range: 25 meters
-Duration: 2 seconds
-Cooldown: 5 seconds

Self-Destruct:
-D.Va’s Ultimate.
-D.Va sets her MEKA to explode, ejecting herself in the process.
-Explosion somehow doesn’t do any damage to D.Va.
-Explosion radius: 20 meters
-Detonation fuse: 3 seconds
-Charge required: 1375 points
-Can call another MEKA right after her first one explodes.

D.Va’s Equipment and Abilities:

Light Gun:
-D.Va’s back-up weapon.
-Only uses it when she’s out of her MEKA.
-Ammo: 20
-Fire Rate: 7 RPS
-Damage: 14 damage

Call Mech:
-D.Va’s Secondary Ultimate.
-D.Va calls down a new MEKA to replace the previous one.
-Charge required: 300 points

GAME DROID: Having a giant mech to bring with you to battle is cool and all, but that’s not to say that there aren’t any flaws with D.Va. Without her MEKA, D.Va is significantly more vulnerable due to her low HP, weaker fire power, and lack of defensive abilities.

Pyro Man: Granted, the little girl can still fight back and can call for a new MEKA, but that requires both time and being away from the enemy if she wants to do that in the first place. Not helping her case is that she has an incredibly straightforward approach when it comes to combat and is rather limited in what she can do.

GAME DROID: The Twin Fusion Cannons have a strong fall off from longer distances, and all of her abilities have a cooldown timer on them. Her Ultimates are also something that D.Va can’t use right away, as she has to charge them up before hand.

Pyro Man: Defense Matrix is great for negating projectile-based attacks, but its drawback is that it cannot negate any beam-based or melee attacks. Finally, Self-Destruct leaves D.Va out in the open for the 3 second fuse before she has the chance to call back another MEKA.

Weaknesses:
-Significantly more vulnerable if her MEKA is destroyed.
-Can still fight back, but not as well as she can with her MEKA.
+Can call for a new MEKA if given enough time.
-Very basic in terms of fighting abilities.
-Abilities have a cooldown timer on them.
-Ultimates need to be charged in order to use them.
-Fusion Cannons do less damage and have lower accuracy from long distances.
-Defense Matrix cannot deflect/take out beam-based weaponry or melee attacks.
-Self-Destruct leaves D.Va outside her MEKA for a few seconds before she can call another one.

GAME DROID: Even with those weaknesses, Hana Song is not just a gamer piloting a mech. She is a world-wide icon with the reflexes, bravery, and MEKA to defend her home time and time again.

Pyro Man: Make one mistake when battling D.Va, and it could very well be GG for you.

D.Va: “I play to win.”

Rumble
First Appearance: League of Legends (2009, released on April 26th, 2011)
Species: Yordle
Age: Unknown, possibly a teen to young adult by Yordle standards.
Occupation: Inventor, Mechanic, Champion, Rumble’s Intense Training of Programmable Lab Suits’ Founder and Dean
Birthplace: Bandle City
Height: Unknown, approximately 0.8 – 1 meter

Theme:

GAME DROID: The League of Legends hosts many unique individuals with incredible powers and techniques, ranging from mages, warriors, and the combatant for this fight, Rumble. As the runt of the litter, even amongst Yordles, Rumble had to develop a sense of resourcefulness in order to keep up with his peers.

Pyro Man: This left Rumble to develop a short temper and “Get Even” attitude, along with making him a solitary person. But this didn’t really bother the little boy, as he always preferred the company of the gadgets that he made and was often found getting spare parts in the Junkyard.

GAME DROID: His tinkering wasn’t a waste of time, however, as he soon showed great potential to be a mechanic and was recommended to enroll into the Yordle Academy of Science and Progress. But instead of going to the Academy like any normal person would, Rumble believed that the Yordles there like Heimerdinger were “sellouts” and refused to go.

Pyro Man: Amusingly enough, a group of human graduates from the Yordle Academy would come by to visit Rumble’s home town, Bandle City. Rumble, unable to fight the temptation to see them, went to go up and intended to get only a look at them.

GAME DROID: Emphasis on the “intended” part. After several hours and a few choice words from Rumble, he ended up getting the crap beaten out and scolded for being an embarrassment to little Yordles like Heimerdinger. That’s basically what happens when you decide to insult a traveling group of college students in general.

Pyro Man: After that fiasco of a meet up, Rumble would leave the city the next morning and not be seen by anyone for several months. Then one day, he would return to Bandle City, and with him a mechanized monstrosity made from common Junkyard materials.

GAME DROID: With his mech armed and ready, the Mechanized Menace announced that he would show what Yordle-tech is truly capable of.

Feats:
-Became a skilled mechanic by tinkering with gadgets and materials from the Junkyard.
-Was recommended for enrollment at the Yordle Academy of Science and Progress.
    -However, he refused to go.
-Left Bandle City for several months and came back with a mech suit he created, Tristy.
-Yep, Tristy is the name of Rumble’s mech.
-Is a regular participant and champion in the League of Legends.
-In an alternate universe, worked with Heimerdinger and Ziggs to build giant mechas for protecting Bandle City.
-Has a skin that is essentially based on Gurren Lagann.

GAME DROID: When it comes down to it, nearly all of Rumble’s feats come from his mech, Tristy… Yeah, the guy named a freaking mech made from dangerous stuff found in a junkyard Tristy.

Pyro Man: Says the little boy who named his mecha “Azure Comet”.

GAME DROID: Shut up Pyro Man. Anyways, while it’s not his primary source of damage, Rumble is capable of damaging both enemy champions and constructions such as turrets with Tristy’s mace. And if he overheats his mech, which is something we’ll get into later, his autoattacks can do bonus magic damage based on his Ability Power.

Pyro Man: In terms of speed, Rumble sits roughly at the top third of the League of Legends roster with a base movement speed of 345. On top of that, he is capable of dodging numerous ranged abilities and even some Ultimates, like Jinx’s Super Mega Death Rocket.

GAME DROID: But if he needs an extra boost of speed, Rumble’s ability Scrap Shield gives him a boost of increased movement speed for a short amount of time. And despite what it’s made out of, Tristy can take quite a lot of punishment from a multitude of damage sources.

Pyro Man: Light magic, rockets, big swords, toxic chemicals, boulders, Rumble is capable of surviving hits from each one of them, and still have the endurance to keep fighting. Add in the bonus health and armor that some of his items give him, and he’s bound to stay in the fight for quite a while.

GAME DROID: Rumble also has some pretty good experience under his belt to add on to that. Being the small guy made him very resourceful and is most likely one of the big factors as to why he is such a good mechanic. I mean, he built a mech that is able to compete with other champions, and it’s made from Junkyard materials of all things!

Pyro Man: Being the creator of your very own personal mech means that you have to be able to pilot it, and Rumble shows this every time he’s in combat. His abilities allow him to poke at his enemies from long distances and deal a lot of magic damage at close range.

Strength:
-Can physically harm his enemies with the Mace on Tristy’s left arm.
-Can damage enemy turrets, inhibitors, and Nexus.
-Can damage large monsters like dragons and the Baron Nashor.
-Overheating lets Rumble do bonus magic damage on his autoattacks.
-Attack Damage: 61-115 (based on level)

Speed:
-Base movement speed is 345.
-In comparison to other champions, Rumble is roughly in the top third.
-Can evade ranged abilities and even some Ultimates.
-Sorcerer’s Shoes increase his movement speed by 45.
-Gains a boost of movement speed whenever Scrap Shield is activated.

Durability:
-Tristy is very sturdy despite what it’s made of.
-Taken hits from a multitude of enemy champions, including weapons and magic attacks.
-Can survive hits from several Ultimates.
-Liandry’s Torment and Rylia’s Crystal Scepter give him bonus health.
-Zhonya’s Hourglass gives him bonus armor.

Fighting Abilities:
-Being the runt of litter made Rumble very resourceful.
-Being the creator of his mech, is pretty experienced at piloting it as a mechanic.
-Gone up against numerous and unique champions in the League of Legends.
-Mainly a mage with all of his offensive abilities doing magic damage.
-Item set revolves around Ability Power.
-Abilities revolve around zoning out the enemy and doing massive damage.

GAME DROID: It there is one thing to describe Rumble, level-headed is definitely not one of them. His past experiences not only made him a great mechanic, but also gave him a pretty short temper as well, making him easy to anger.

Pyro Man: To add on to that, he also gets offended greatly whenever people look down upon him, both figuratively and literally. He also takes an enjoyment to fighting, partially to look like a badass, but mainly to show what he’s capable of with Yordle tech. After all, he did BUILT Tristy for that reason.

GAME DROID: And if someone manages to piss of Rumble to a certain degree, he’ll make sure to get even with that guy no matter what. Oh, and there’s actually a reason why Rumble’s mech is named Tristy. Turns out that he has a crush on a fellow Yordle champion; the Yordle Gunner, Tristana.

Pyro Man: Not sure how Tristana would react to hearing about having a mech named after her, but at least Rumble can be well meaning at times.

Personality:
-Hates being looked down upon, often taking offense to it.
-Short-tempered and easy to anger.
-Enjoys fighting, mainly to show what he’s capable of.
-Pretty cocky, as he often mocks his enemies.
-Strives to get even with those who crossed him.
-Appears to have a crush on fellow champion Tristana.

GAME DROID: Now we get into the more complicated stuff, Rumble’s items and abilities. League of Legends provides a ginormous pool of items, each one having their own specific use and allowing varying customization in terms of item sets.

Pyro Man: But for the sake of keeping things simple and as unbiased as possible, we will be looking only at their recommended item sets that are given by default and examining them as a full build. With that out of the way, Rumble’s first item that we’ll be giving him is the Warding Totem.

GAME DROID: Warding Totems, or Wards if you want to keep it short, provide vision within the surrounding area for a maximum time of 120 seconds, or 2 minutes. Normally, in a one on one scenario such as DEATH BATTLE, vision around the area wouldn’t be that helpful since you’ll be fighting someone throughout the entire fight.

Pyro Man: But in the case of Rumble, he has an ability where he can teleport to one of the wards he placed, but we’ll go into more detail later. Just know that he can place a total of three wards at a time and that the time it takes to recharge another ward is 90 seconds.

GAME DROID: On to more simple items, Sorcerer’s Shoes give Rumble increased movement speed and some Magic Penetration. For those that don’t know what Magic Penetration is, it’s basically how much Magic Resistance is ignored by a given amount.

Pyro Man: Rumble also possesses the Rylai’s Crystal Scepter, a staff that not only provides extra health and Ability Power, but also slows down enemies for 2 seconds. And considering that most of the damage he does is through magic, he’ll certainly make the most use out of the item’s ability.

GAME DROID: Then there are the Void Staff and Rabadon’s Deathcap, two Ability Power items that greatly increase Rumble’s Magic Damage output. Why? Well, the Void Staff ignores 35% of the target’s Magic Resistance and the Deathcap increases Rumble’s Ability Power by that same percentage.

Pyro Man: Liandry’s Torment is very similar to Rylai’s Crystal Scepter in that it gives nearly the same amount of extra health and Ability Power. Unlike the Scepter, however, Liandry’s Torment burns the enemy every time they are hit by one of Rumble’s abilities for 3 seconds.

GAME DROID: Last, but certainly not least, is Zhonya’s Hourglass. Stat wise, it gives the Mechanized Menace more armor, cooldown reduction on his abilities and, like nearly every other item Rumble’s given, Ability Power. However, this item in particular has a very unique function that the others don’t.

Pyro Man: When Zhonya’s Hourglass is activated, Rumble goes into a state where he turns gold and is untargetable by any enemy for a couple of seconds. Unfortunately though, he can’t move or be moved by any means whatsoever during it’s duration, and it has a cooldown timer whenever he uses that ability.

GAME DROID: In other words, no spamming the “stand still for damage immunity” trick for Rumble.

GAME DROID: Now having all these items are cool and all, but they really aren’t very useful if Rumble doesn’t have any means of fighting without them. That’s where his mech, Tristy, comes into play.

Pyro Man: Made from Junkjard materials and designed by Rumble himself, Tristy is a dangerous creation despite the feminine name that it’s given. Armed with a piston-powered mace, flamethrower, harpoons, and rockets, Tristy functions surprisingly well despite being made of literal junk.

GAME DROID: Well, just because it functions well doesn’t mean that it’s completely flawless. It’s movements are rather jerky and stiff, and it can sometimes fall on itself, in which Rumble has to kick it to get it running again.

Pyro Man: Even so, Rumble wouldn’t be a force to be reckoned with if he didn’t have his mech and the abilities that come with it. Speaking of which, Rumble’s passive ability is called Junkyard Titan, and it’s a rather complex ability in comparison to other champions’ passives.

GAME DROID: The passive is categorized into three unique functions, which are Heat, Danger Zone, and Overheating. Heat is where Rumble gains a set amount of Heat whenever he uses one of his abilities which can stack upon itself to access Danger Zone and Overheating.

Pyro Man: The maximum amount of Heat Rumble can have at any given moment is 100 Heat, but thankfully it gradually goes down after a set amount of time not using any abilities. Danger Zone is where the Mechanized Menace generates 50 Heat, making all of his basic abilities gain a 50% enhancement on their effects.

GAME DROID: But if Rumble doesn’t keep a steady eye on his Heat meter, he can end up going into the third function of his passive, Overheating. Like it says on the cover, Rumble overheats Tristy to the point where he can’t use any of his abilities or Summoner’s Spells for 6 seconds.

Pyro Man: But as compensation, his basic attacks can do additional magic damage during Overheating before it goes back down to 0 Heat. And judging by the voice lines by Rumble whenever he goes into Overheating, he can actually feel the hotness emitting from his mech.

GAME DROID: Yeesh, talk about third-degree burns. Moving on to matters that still include burning, Rumble’s first ability is Flamespitter, an ability where the Yordle pilot activates his flame thrower for a total of three seconds that deals magic damage.

Pyro Man: But if he needs to go on the defensive end of a battle, he can activate his second ability, Scrap Shield. Scrap Shield provides Rumble with an energy shield that last for two seconds and an increase in movement speed for 1 second.

GAME DROID: This ability can also be used offensively if we wants to close in on his enemy or soak up more damage. But let’s say Rumble’s enemy is too far away for either ability to be used effectively against them. What’s his solution?

Pyro Man: How about shooting a giant harpoon coursing with electricity that does magic damage and slows down the enemy on hit? That right there would be Rumble’s third ability, Electro Harpoon. Being able to hold two charges at once, Electro Harpoon is an efficient ability that allows him to poke at his enemies from a safe distance.

GAME DROID: Then there is his fourth and Ultimate ability, the Equalizer. This devastating ability is where Rumble shoots an array of rockets into the sky that soon land in the targeted area in a straight line. Anyone within the range of the target area takes a massive amount of magic damage that lingers over time.

Pyro Man: And don’t think that when the rockets land, they just stop being viable. The area of effect lasts for a grand total of five seconds and any enemy that walks on it during those 5 seconds will take the same amount of damage.

GAME DROID: Not helping their case is that the Ultimate also slows down all enemies by 35%, effectively making them stay longer in the Equalizer’s AOE. This, however, comes with a pretty big cooldown timer, so this is an ability Rumble should only use as either a last resort or a finishing blow.

Pyro Man: But the abilities don’t stop there, for Rumble will also be bringing two Summoner Spells as well. Like items, there are numerous Spells that can be given for each champion, but we will be going with the ones most commonly used by Rumble.

GAME DROID: In this case, we will be giving him Flash and Teleport. Flash is a rather simple ability with variable uses. With it, Rumble can instantly teleport to a short distance, allowing him to either dodge a devastating attack or change the distance between and his enemy.

Pyro Man: Teleport is similar to Flash, but in a different way. This ability is where he charges up to immediately go to an ally minion, turret, and for this fight specifically, wards. The downside, however, is that the cast takes several seconds and that he can’t move at all during the cast.

GAME DROID: That being said, Rumble can cancel Teleport at will if the situation calls for it, so there’s a safety net right there.

Tristy:
-Rumble’s mechanized creation that he fights in.
-Made from scrap and materials found in the Junkyard.
-Functions surprisingly well despite what it’s made out of.
-Does, however, have some jerky movements and can sometimes fall on itself.

GAME DROID: So with items, magic abilities, and surprisingly good tech, Rumble would be an unstoppable force, right? Nope. Rumble’s abilities revolve around how much Heat he uses, and he has to monitor that constantly if he doesn’t want to overheat.

Pyro Man: If he does overheat, he can’t use any of his abilities whatsoever, which are his main sources of damage and utility. And as we mentioned beforehand, Rumble cannot move whenever he activates Teleport or Zhonya’s Hourglass.

GAME DROID: Not helping his case is that his abilities, Summoner Spells, and the Hourglass all have a cooldown timer, with Flash and Teleport being the longest by far. But in his defense, said Hourglass also reduces the cooldown of those abilities by quite a bit.

Pyro Man: One thing that should be noted about Rumble is that he has absolutely no combat experience, or any way to fight for that matter, without Tristy. If the mech is destroyed, Rumble basically loses any way of fighting back and the fight in general.

Weaknesses:
-Has to constantly monitor how much Heat he has.
-Overheating leaves Rumble unable to use his abilities and spells.
-Can’t move at all when using Teleport or Zhonya’s Hourglass.
-Abilities and Summoner Spells have cooldown timers.
+Zhonya’s Hourglass helps with this somewhat.
-No combat experience outside of Tristy.
-Destroying Tristy is basically a loss for Rumble.

GAME DROID: But while Rumble isn’t without his weaknesses, he is still a force to be reckoned with. Making a deadly mech out of the same stuff people throw away shows how crafty and resourceful this Yordle is.

Pyro Man: Don’t call the Mechanized Menace little straight to his face, otherwise it will be YOU that’ll be looking up to him.

Rumble: “The bigger they are, the harder I hit ’em.”

DEATH BATTLE!: Henry Cooldown VS The Black Baron

Henry Cooldown VS The Black Baron Combatants Set by GAME-DROID-2000

Original Release Date: February 7th, 2017

GAME DROID: Alright, the match for the top spot has been set. Time to see if the challenger can beat the champion…

Pyro Man: It is now time to commence a DEATH BATTLE!

—–

The Tower, Casino Land

At the very top of the tower overlooking all of Jefferson Island, a large crowd of people are cheering for the upcoming fight for the spot of the Champion of Death Watch. As part of the black and white Ring of Madness, a boxing ring was located in the center platform and a large TV screen stood at one end of the Colosseum.

“Hello fellow viewers of Death Watch,” A young voice rung through the arena, catching the attention of the entire crowd. “As most of you have heard, Howard Buckshot Holmes and Kreese Kreely have unexpectedly gone missing without any lead. But don’t worry, for me and my co-host will act as substitutes for this match. Right Pyro Man?”

“You are correct GAME DROID,” Another voice spoke, this time sounding automated. “To all the little boys and little girls wondering, I am the Pyro Man and my co-host here is GAME DROID. And on this night of bloodshed, we will be holding the match between the rising newcomer and the Champion of Death Watch.”

As if the Pyro Man’s words were on que, steel doors leading to the center of the Ring of Madness with the initials of Death Watch slowly opened to reveal the newcomer. Wearing a long sleeved white shirt, grey vest, and grey jeans, the man slowly walked up towards the arena. After reaching the center, Henry Cooldown jumped into the boxing ring and put his left hand on his waist while his right grabbed a strange, cylindrical object that hanged from his belt.

“There he is everyone,” GAME DROID spoke, remarking about the man’s arrival. “Henry Cooldown, the newcomer of Death Watch that quickly rose through the ranks!” As the crowd cheered on as Henry was announced, Henry couldn’t help but smirk at the praise he was receiving. But that smirk faded just as fast when he started to hear the sounds of helicopters. Turning his attention to the night sky, Henry saw two helicopters flying side by side with both of them connected to a fancy chair.

And on that chair was Henry’s final opponent.

Taller than many other foes, the man wore an expensive lion fur coat, fedora, large rings on both of his hands, and sunglasses to cover his eyes completely. But what really caught Henry’s attention was the man’s large necklace that had the initials “BB”.

“And here is the champion of Death Watch little boys and girls,” The Pyro Man spoke. “The Bishop of Blood and Carnage himself, the Black Baron.” Like with Henry’s announcement, the crowd cheered on as the helicopters flew in close enough for the chair to be placed on the ground. With a cane in his right hand and a glass of wine in his left, the Black Baron stood at full height to stare back at the challenger while the helicopters flew away with the chair he was sitting on.

After a moment of silence, Henry decided to be the first one to speak. “So you’re the champion that I’ve been hearing rumors about, aren’t you?” He spoke in a rather stereotypical Irish accent. The Black Baron took a sip out of his wine before throwing it to the side.

“That’s right,” The Black Baron answered. “You’re talking to the one and only Black Baron – Stop starrin’. And I see that you must be sir Henry Motherfucker.”

Henry scowled at the nickname he hated. Not helping that the man in front of him was the living representation of an offensive pimp. “And here I thought stereotypes have reached their lowest point,” Henry said in frustration before sighing. “Guess I was wrong.” Detaching the cylinder from his belt, Henry raised it in front of his opponent before pressing the button on it. The strange mechanism burst to life, extending a long, purple beam at it’s top and four shorter beams at the top of the hilt.

Swinging it to the side, Henry’s beam katana, the Cross Sword, emitted a resonating hum that only he and the Black Baron can hear. The Baron scoffed at the challenger’s reveal of his weapon, unintimidated and still maintaining his laid back attitude. “Like I haven’t seen THAT kind of weapon before,” He said sarcastically. But now was not the time for banter. Now, it’s time for the Champion of Death Watch to pimp slap Henry straight to his face.

(Stop Music)

Tossing his cane to the side like the wine glass, the Black Baron reached for his coat as Henry continued to stare down at his opponent. In one swift motion, the Baron threw his coat into the air to reveal his muscular body, gaining cheers from the audience. Staring back at his opponent, the Champion had only one thing to say to the challenger.

“C’mon sir Henry Motherfucker!” The Black Baron shouted. “Show me what ya got with your lightsaber rip-off!” Henry took a step towards his opponent, unfazed by his insult.

“Oh, I’ll show you what I’m made of,” He retorted, pointing his beam katana at his enemy. “But don’t expect me to play fair.” As the crowd cheered for their respective fighter, the giant TV screen changed to show close-up portraits of the combatants with their names at the bottom.

Henry Cooldown

The Black Baron
Rank 1

“It looks like the fighters are ready to duke it out,” GAME DROID announced to the audience with anticipation in his voice. “Are the combatants ready?” Henry and the Black Baron stared down one another as their answer, ready to teach their foe a lesson through bloodshed.

“3!” The Pyro Man counted as the Black Baron raised his fists and grinned.

“2!” GAME DROID spoke as Henry griped the Cross Sword’s hilt harder.

“1!” Both announcers shouted, making the Champion and Challenger dash towards each other.

FIGHT!

Jumping into the air, Henry swung down at the Black Baron in an attempt to split him in two, only for the Death Watch champion to sidestep the attack. The Baron then threw a right hook at Henry’s face followed up by an uppercut to send him on his back. Henry landed roughly on the ground, but he used the momentum of the uppercut to quickly get back onto his feet.

Henry walked back from the Black Baron, gesturing the champion to come attack him. Not one to be outshined by a newcomer, the Baron dashed towards his mocking opponent without realizing what Henry had in store. He threw a left hook towards Henry, only for Henry to duck and swing at his exposed chest several times, finishing off the counterattack with kick to the face. With the Black Baron trying to recover, Henry focused his energy within the Cross Sword to create three orbs of energy.

By the time the Baron recovered from the counter-play, he saw Henry swing his beam katana to send the energy balls directly at their target. Without time to dodge the attack, the Black Baron brought up his arms to block the homing projectiles. The energy balls hit their designated target, creating an explosion that engulfed the champion’s entire body. Seeing the match over much sooner than he expected, Henry turned to leave the arena from the disappointing bout.

“Don’t stop now,” Henry heard the Baron’s voice say. Turning around in shock, Henry barely had any time to see the silhouette of his enemy before a sudden light blinded him. Simultaneously, he felt a sharp pain in his chest and was sent tumbling onto the ground. Standing where Henry was, the Black Baron cracked his knuckles while staring down at his grounded enemy.

“C’mon now, Henry,” The Baron said mockingly. “That really the best ya got?” Getting back onto his feet, albeit with struggle, Henry scowled at his opponent before dashing back towards him. Just as he got within melee distance, the Baron brought up his arms once more to block the incoming attack. The plasma blade collided with his arms, but instead of cutting through them like expected, the Baron’s arms held firm without the slightest sign of damage. Putting two and two together, Henry soon realized that dismembering his opponent’s arms is a lost cause and instead had to rely on more evasive attacks.

The Baron pushed Henry out of the short power struggle and went to round kick him in the chest, but Henry rolled just underneath the attack and right behind his enemy. Henry took the moment of opportunity to slash at his opponent’s backside, drawing a long streak of blood across the battlefield. He then used the Baron’s back as a jumping pad to send him into the air and the Baron into the ground. As he descended from the air, Henry aimed to pierce the Cross Sword into the Champion’s heart.

The Baron started to pick himself off the ground when he noticed that the shadow covering him was starting to get smaller. Turning his head back, he saw Henry falling right above him raising the Cross Sword above him. But before the Baron became a pincushion for the beam katana, he rolled out of the way of his enemy’s landing zone right before he landed. Henry missed his target and his weapon ended up piercing the blood-stained ground instead of the Baron’s heart.

Getting back on his feet, the Black Baron took a step back as he saw Henry dislodge his beam katana from the floor. With a tip of his fedora, the Baron ran towards the challenger as Henry changed his stance in defense. As the Baron closed the gap between them, he jumped into the air and twisted his entire body to double-kick his enemy. But Henry was prepared, for he blocked the Spin Kick and held his position firmly, despite the force coming from the attack.

“That’s not going to work on me!” Henry shouted, using his surprising strength to push the Baron away from him. The Baron managed to land back on his feet, only to dash back towards the challenger. Henry did the same, and both fighters met in the center of the arena.

Henry swung sideways, only for his blade to be met with a left jab from his enemy. The Black Baron then attempted to right hook his enemy, but Henry pushed back his other hand and parried the attack. What soon followed was a series of punches and beam katana strikes parrying one another, each attack growing faster and stronger as the clash progressed. Suddenly, however, one of the Baron’s punches caused Henry to stagger long enough for a counter-attack. The Baron threw a punch at Henry’s face…

Only for Henry to duck at the last second, the Baron’s punch just a few inches off from it’s intended target. The Black Baron’s smirk faltered as he was now completely exposed to any counter-attack. In one swift motion, Henry thrust the Cross Sword into the champion’s stomach, causing him to reel back from the pain.

“Time for you to sleep,” Henry said before throwing the Baron into the air. He then jumped up towards his enemy and slashed at him, sending him even higher then before. However, Henry wasn’t done there, for as soon as the Baron reached the peak of his launch he was grabbed his opponent and thrown back towards the ground. Landing brutally on his back, the Black Baron could barely raise his head up to see the challenger falling towards him, Cross Sword aimed directly at him.

The Baron tried to move out of the way, but Henry threw his beam katana at his enemy, stabbing him in the chest once more and pinning him to the ground. With the soon to be dead Death Watch champion immobile, Henry changed his position mid-air to land the finishing blow. Using both gravity and his strength, Henry kicked the palm of the Cross Sword HARD, knocking the fedora and shades off of the Baron and breaking the ground beneath them.

(Stop music)

“There you have it folks!” GAME DROID shouted. “Henry Cooldown defeated the Black Baron, and is now your new Death Watch champion!” As the crowd went wild, Henry jumped off of his weapon and pulled it out of the Baron’s body. But as he turned his back to walk away, he heard groaning coming from behind.

“Hold on the little boys and little girls,” The Pyro Man said. “It seems that the Baron may still be alive,” Turning around, Henry saw the Black Baron struggling to stand back up. As he did, he breathed loudly and kept his head facing down.

“Alright Henry,” The Baron said in a threatening tone. Closing his shaking fists, he looked at his opponent with unchained rage.

    “NOW I’M FUCKING PISSED!”

The Black Baron roared, creating ripples of wind all around his standing area. The calm attitude that he originally had was gone, and in it’s place was a burning fury that wanted nothing more than to turn Henry into a bloody paste.

“Ooooh, Henry’s in for it now,” GAME DROID explained. “Now that he’s on the losing end, the Black Baron went into his Rage Mode. And that means only one thing.”

“The Champion is no longer holding back,” The Pyro Man said, gaining a look of shock from Henry.

“You mean to tell me this bastard’s been HOLDING BACK!?” Henry shouted in the air. His thoughts were soon broken when he looked back towards the Baron, who was running at full speed towards him. Seeing his enemy about to throw a right hook, Henry brought up the Cross Sword to block the incoming attack. But instead of parrying the attack like he expected, the Baron punched with enough force to knock the Cross Sword out of Henry’s hands.

Before Henry could even look back towards his weapon, the Black Baron punched him right across the cheek followed up by a jab to the stomach. He then kneed his enemy right in the center of his face, forcing Henry to stagger back towards the border ropes in order to catch his balance. Struggling to keep himself standing, Henry quickly scanned the area for his dropped weapon. As he was looking for his beam katana, the Baron walked slowly towards his fatigued combatant, cracking his knuckles along the way.

Just as Henry thought that he was going to have to fight without his weapon, he spotted the Cross Sword deactivated and laying a short distance away from him. The problem, however, was that it was located right behind the blood-lusted Black Baron, who was about to roundhouse kick Henry. With little time to stand still, Henry rolled underneath the Baron’s attack just in time to make a mad dash for his weapon. Snatching the beam katana, Henry reactivated his weapon and turned to face his enemy.

Alright Cooldown, Henry thought to himself. The man you’re fighting is still the same one from before, only stronger. Just stay calm and you’ll win this. But before he could move, Henry felt like he suddenly gained a hundred pounds on his shoulders. Struggling to keep himself standing, he looked towards his enemy, who was pulling back his fist and creating ripples beneath his feet. Not liking where this was going, Henry charged up another volley of energy balls.

The Black Baron punched towards Henry’s direction, but instead of flashing towards his opponent, his punch shot out a large projectile in the shape of a fist. As soon as he did, Henry felt the increased weight placed upon him suddenly disappear. Now free from the intense pressure and able to move again, Henry fired off his charged energy balls to intercept the Power Punch. The three purple orbs collided with the much larger fist-shaped object, blowing up and destroying all of the projectiles.

The Black Baron, annoyed by the fact that Henry countered the Power Punch, simply spat on the ground before running towards Henry once more. Swinging a left hook at his opponent, the Baron was now forcing Henry on the defensive side of the battle. Henry, seeing that if he tried to block with the Cross Sword it would get knocked out of his hands, had to resort to his speed and slim frame in order to avoid getting hit. Henry weaved his body around the flurry of punches and kicks, waiting for the right moment for an opening to appear.

And one did. The Baron, letting out a roar, jumped and aimed his right fist directly above Henry’s head. However, his enemy had already been waiting for the right opportunity to strike and sidestepped the aerial punch and right behind the Baron. Ready to put an end to this fight, Henry took this moment of opportunity to swing his beam katana right behind the Baron’s neck. But before it could cut through the Baron’s flesh, a hand caught the plasma blade, stopping the finishing blow altogether.

Slowly getting up and turning towards Henry, the Baron’s rage-filled eyes stared into Henry’s shocked face and strengthened his grip on the Cross Sword. Pulling both the Cross Sword and Henry towards him, the Black Baron punched the challenger straight in the face and followed it up with a knee to the gut. He then grabbed Henry by the shoulders and head-butted him several times before shoving Henry back in a dazed state. As Henry tried to recover from the blunt trauma, the Baron lowered his body and pulled his right arm back.

Henry finally managed to recover proper vision, but it was already too late for him to make a move. The next thing he knew, Henry was uppercutted with unparalleled force by the Baron and the both of them were sent flying into the air. The Baron landed perfectly fine on his feet while his opponent’s landed hard on his back, coughing up blood from the Rocket Uppercut and dropping the Cross Sword once more. Now that his opponent took a heavy beating, the Black Baron felt that it was time to finally return the favor.

He lowered himself once more, drawing in gusts of air that started to increase in pressure over time. Meanwhile, Henry started to control his breathing once again and was about to stand back up when he felt that he was being pulled. He looked towards the Baron, who he soon found out was the cause of the disruption in the air and the source of the pulling force. Henry tried to get away from his enemy, but the vacuum that the Baron was creating was too strong to escape from.

When Henry was an arm’s length away, the Baron threw his fist high into the air, creating a tornado that engulfed him entirely. Henry, now too close to get away from the attack, was picked up off of his feet and sent spiraling around the tornado. His screams were deafened by the sounds of the raging winds as he moved higher and higher into the tornado. Once he finally reached the top, Henry was flung out of the man powered tornado and sent straight into the audience.

(Stop music)

His landing into the audience created a shower of blood from all of the unfortunate victims that happened to be within the challenger’s landing area. Henry, however, was still miraculously intact even after the brutal landing and was now mostly covered in blood. A helicopter flew over him and proceeded to extend a large supply claw to pick him and drag him back into the center. When they were over the torn up boxing ring, the helicopter dropped Henry mid-air and left him enduring yet another harsh fall.

“Ouch,” GAME DROID said. “The Baron sure laid one hell of a beating on the guy. I’m not even sure if he can get up from that,” The Black Baron smirked at the response from the replacement announcer, glad that he finally put down that pest of a fighter. But just as he was about to turn his back, he heard faint groaning coming from Henry’s body.

“I must say, this has certainly been a night of revelations,” The Pyro Man said. “Both of the little boys have taken massive beatings, yet they still persist on fighting,” As he said that phrase, Henry began to shakily pick himself back up, his breathing ragged and his stance slacked. The Black Baron lost his smile and simply frowned at his enemy.

“You don’t know when to quit, do you sir Henry Motherfucker?” The Baron asked. Henry didn’t respond, as he instead walked towards the Cross Sword and picked it back up once again. Activating the beam katana like last time, Henry turned his head towards the Black Baron, staring at him with a surprising amount of calmness written on his face.

“Not really, but I could say the same about you,” Henry retorted. He pointed the Cross Sword at the Baron while the Baron himself raised his fists in a boxing stance. As the crowd went silent in anticipation, a thought went through the minds of both combatants.

It’s time to end this fight.

The Black Baron made the first move, charging up a Dash Punch to stun his enemy. But unlike last time, Henry was prepared for the attack and jumped out of harm’s way the moment he saw the slightest twitch from the Baron. The Baron flashed froward, missing his intended target and was now left open for an assault. Using this opening, Henry dashed towards his enemy, swinging the Cross Sword and striking him in the leg.

Kneeling from the leg wound, the Black Baron brought up his arms to block the incoming strikes from his enemy’s beam katana. Though most of Henry’s swings were blocked, he managed to wear down the Baron enough for him to lower his arms. He swung downwards, hoping to split his enemy in two, but the Baron brought up his right arm just in time to stop the Cross Sword. He then punched Henry in the stomach hard enough to send him back a couple of feet, forcing him to lose his breath for a short while.

Now having some breathing room, the Baron stood back up to full height while moving his right shoulder in a circular motion. He then jumped high in the air and landed on one of the posts, crossing his arms while looking at Henry. As Henry started to recover, he noticed how something felt off and looked around until he saw where his enemy was standing.

“Oh what the hell is he planning to do now?” Henry asked to himself. The Baron decided to answer his question by jumping into the air and pulling his right leg back. In one blinding motion, a flash from the sky appeared where the Baron was, and was now rocketing towards him with a kick pulsating with electricity. Time seemed to slow to a crawl for Henry, his enemy seeming to slowly descend and his expression static with anger.

Realizing that he had no way of jumping out of the attack fast enough, Henry brought up the Cross Sword with both hands in hopes of at least blocking the attack. The Lightning Kick connected with the beam katana, sending shock waves and electrical surges throughout his body. The ground beneath him couldn’t withstand the pressure, so much to the point that part of it caved in on itself and sending debris across the battlefield. Henry gritted from the pain of the Lightning Kick’s astonishing power, but he fought through the pain and pushed the Black Baron off of his weapon.

The Black Baron landed back on his feet, getting more and more frustrated with Henry still being alive. Bashing his fists together, the Baron extended his left arm towards Henry, complete with a “come after me” gesture. Henry, not wanting to be outshined after all he’s been through tonight, took the bait and dashed towards his enemy, raising the Cross Sword high and letting out a battle cry. Henry swung in rapid succession, but the champion of Death Watch managed to dodge most of the incoming strikes while getting some lucky jabs in on his enemy. One of those punches hit Henry directly in the face, causing him to take a few steps back and end his relentless assault.

The Black Baron took a running start, and when he got close enough to Henry, he jumped into the air to Spin Kick his enemy, only for Henry to recover just in time to roll out of the way. The Baron fell body first on the ground, only to quickly get back up when he saw his enemy standing right beside him with the Cross Sword raised above them. Henry swung downwards, only to be caught once again by the Baron’s own hands. Not wanting a repeat of last time, the challenger gripped his beam katana with both hands and placed his feet on the Baron’s chest. One one swift motion, Henry kicked the Baron away from him, releasing the iron grip that he had on the laser-beam weapon.

The Black Baron stumbled from his enemy’s unusual tactic, but he quickly regained his balance as he stared back towards Henry, fatigued but still standing tall. Wanting for this fight to be over with, he started to charge up another Power Punch, rippling the area around him and forcing Henry to kneel like last time. Henry felt the unseen weight on him grow even stronger than before, nearly causing him to fall down on his hands. However, he knew that this would only lead to his death, so he forced himself to stand back up and walked towards the Baron.

His body screamed in agony, wanting him to give in and fall back down. But Henry ignored those complaints, as he slowly marched forwards towards his enemy, gripping the hilt of the Cross Sword with both hands. He finally stopped right in front of the Baron, who was nearly done with charging up the Power Punch. Both combatants glared at each other, Henry pulling the Cross Sword above him and the Black Baron pulling his charged up fist back. Ready to kill the man in front of them, both of them attacked at the same time, their attacks colliding with one another.

An explosion filled the center of the nearly destroyed boxing ring, gaining shocks from both the announcers and the audience. Henry and the Black Baron were sent flying away from each other, rolling on the ground before stopping at the edge of their respective side. Burnt from the explosion, both combatants laid motionless before forcing themselves to stand back up to face their enemy. Ragged breathing, aching bodies, and exhaustion taking a toll on the both of them, Henry and the Baron simply stared at each other for what felt like hours, taking in all the events of the fight.

And how much they wanted to kill the man standing in front of them.

With the last of their remaining strength, both combatants dashed towards each other one final time, ready to settle this fight in a make or break assault. The Black Baron swung at Henry, who intercepted that attack with a swing of the Cross Sword. Henry went for a horizontal swing to the Baron’s neck, only for that attack to be deflected by a left hook from his enemy. Punches and beam katana attacks continued to intercept one another, thus engaging in another power struggle like last time. Each attack from both combatants grew stronger and faster, both combatants trying to break through their enemy’s onslaught with their own and neither gaining any advantage.

The trade-off of brute force and incredible speed finally ended when Henry and the Black Baron pulled back their beam katana and right fist respectively. Glaring at their enemy, the champion and challenger had one thing to say to their enemy.

(Stop music)

“DIE!” Both of them shouted, dashing towards their opponent at untraceable speeds, passing by each other and stopping right in exact opposite places. For a small moment that felt like an eternity, not one of them made a single move. The audience went silent, the cheers and roars completely replaced with anticipating silence.

Then Henry felt the unspoken power of a thousand punches coursing through his body, each one emitting a burst of where each impact was located. Letting the Cross Sword fall from his hands and deactivating, Henry fell to the ground, the pain being too much for him to handle.

“I don’t believe it folks!” GAME DROID exclaimed. “Henry gave one hell of a fight, but in the end he just couldn’t keep up with the Baron,” As the crowd shouted the Baron’s name, a pair of helicopters came flying over and into the Ring of Madness with a ginormous dart board hanging from both of them. Looking at the over-sized dart board, then back to the barely conscious Henry, the Black Baron knew exactly how to put an end to this show.

He walked over to his defeated enemy, grabbing him by his shirt collar and belt and looked towards the helicopters with the dart board. Taking one full body spin, the Black Baron used his remaining strength to throw Henry towards the bullseye. His upper body exploded in gore when he hit the dart board, leaving only his waist and legs dangling from the center of it.

“And the little boy hits the bullseye,” The Pyro Man said, raising cheers in the audience. “GAME DROID, I have to say that this has been a rather thrilling night. Wouldn’t you agree?”

“Oh definitely,” GAME DROID answered. “It was very hectic, but the champion pulled out in the end, leaving poor Henry to bite the dust. But I’m afraid that this is where we have to call it a night. I’m GAME DROID,”

“And I am the Pyro Man,” the latter finished. “And we would like to thank all of the little boys and little girls for coming to watch this battle.” And with those final words, the announcer speakers cut off, leaving the Black Baron to hear his fans cheering for him. Waiving back towards all of the blood thirsty watchers, he finally started showing the smile that he lost earlier today.

“It feels good to be the champ,” The Black Baron said to himself.

KO!

Pyro Man: Well that was one brutal fight.

GAME DROID: No kidding. As for the outcome, it was a HUGE pain to decide. Both Henry and the Black Baron don’t have many feats to go off of, meaning that we had to go into the tiny details in order to determine the victor.

Pyro Man: Speed was one of those categories that we had to delve deep into. At first, it would seem that the Baron would take this category due to him moving at speeds faster than the eye could see. But when we looked closer, we determined that it was in short moments in time that the little boy can move at these speeds. The reason for that is that he’s always seen winding up for those kinds of attacks before attacking the enemy, implying that he has to charge them up.

GAME DROID: Whenever he isn’t winding up for those kinds of attacks, the Baron moves more around the speed of an average boxer. Henry, on the other hand, has consistently shown to be dashing across the battlefield at the same time frame. This means that while the Baron is faster in short instances, Henry takes the speed advantage overall.

Pyro Man: Strength follows the same path. The Baron seemed stronger at first glance, but Henry has exhibited greater feats in that he was able to not just crack the street, but outright break it. And while the Baron can knock people into the air, Henry is capable of doing the same thing.

GAME DROID: And in terms of experience, Henry also took this lead. He has both implied and shown to fight and kill several highly skilled assassins, while the pimp of Death Watch hasn’t explicitly shown anything similar. Add in that he takes fights more seriously than his opponent and has deadlier weaponry, and Henry would’ve won this fight.

Pyro Man: “So why didn’t he?” Most of the little boys and girls are asking. Well, to start things off, there is the fact that Henry is far outclassed in terms of durability. The Black Baron has been able to survive and come back from danger that no human being should even be able to survive.

GAME DROID: Yes, Henry’s Cross Sword has the power to cut the Earthquake Maker in half, but it’s very likely that the Baron can take hits from that weapon like how he did with Jack’s Chainsaw. Now at first glance, a laser sword would seem more powerful than a chainsaw, and in most cases you’d be right.

Pyro Man: But there’s more to Jack’s chainsaw than it seems. In the little boy’s battle with the Masters, who are basically a homage to Jedi in Star Wars, we found that his chainsaw can cut through ginormous storage crates and trucks in one clean swing.

GAME DROID: If he can take hits from that kind of power and even block it with his BARE HANDS, then the Baron can surely take hits from Henry’s Cross Sword. He also had more abilities to use in this fight as well, giving him the edge in versatility.

Pyro Man: And while Henry is stronger, his destructive capabilities doesn’t match that of the Baron’s, such as Tornado Strike and Lightning Kick. Then there is the Baron’s trump card, Rage Mode. Not only does he gain more abilities to use in the fight and most likely gains a boost in strength, he also starts taking the fight seriously.

GAME DROID: I mean, yeah, the Baron only gets in this state when gets pissed off, and will most likely want to bash Henry’s skull in with his fists. That being said, he’ll stop being laid back about the fight and start going all in, essentially taking away one of Henry’s greatest advantages in this bout.

Pyro Man: Both combatants were back and forth in the fight for the top spot, but the Baron was the one who hit the bullseye.

GAME DROID: The winner is the Black Baron.
